Just a THANK YOU!! Within days of my recent report on regular Stop-sign running on eastbound Maxwell @ Highland in Elm Heights, reflector strips were placed on the Stop sign posts both directions. I think things have improved. I see people stopping now who could plainly get away with NOT. I'm hopeful. Thanks so much!!
Turn arrow to go East on Second from Patterson is WAY too short. I actually timed it this morning and it is only about 5 seconds long. Because the first car has to sit so far back in the intersection, by the time the first car gets completely through the intersection the arrow is already yellow. The third and fourth car must run it on red. This is too short for folks traveling to the hospital for work and to doctor's offices in that area especially in the morning.
I just wanted to report that one of the crosswalk buttons at the corner of S College Mall Rd and Covenanter Dr (Southwest corner) is not working. Thanks!
Traffic light out at Third and Liberty
West bound traffic on Country Club, at the intersection of Rogers, has to wait for invisible cars in the North bound turn lane of the East bound Country Club traffic. This is my 2nd report ( maybe 3rd) for this condition. I'm a regular traveler on Country Club and I see that the turn light gets activated 100% of the time, regardless of cars being present or not. The left turn arrows for E. Moores Pike onto S. College and S. Sare cycle to short which causes traffic to back up both hills, to the round-about and to the movie theatre entrance. Then cars run the red once it goes green for College and Sare.
There is an accessibility issue at the street crossings where Pete Ellis Drive meets East Third Street. Particularly for a wheelchair user, this is a dangerous intersection. The pedestrian crosswalk buttons don't seem to work, and are difficult to get to.
On 10th street going north onto Woodlawn Ave. the button for the crosswalk does not operation.
Pedestrian signal at 10 & Union has at least two non functional buttons.
Location: Corner of Old Shakopee Rd and Normandale Blvd The left turn signal stays red until a car drives over the "trip switch". The trip switch is not working - at least at 2:00 Friday am - so the only way to make a left turn from Old Shakopee on to Southbound Normandale Blvd.is to go through the red light. This happened last year and I called 911 and reported it and it took a few weeks but it was "fixed". But now it is doing it again. I called 911 again last night/this morning but I don't know that I explained it correctly. Thank you.
