Road blocked
Road blocked
I witnessed a truck with a very long bed try to turn right from W 13th to N Maple. The driver chose to plow down the stop sign/street sign in order to make the turn. The stop sign is completely down, across the sidewalk on W 13th at N Maple. Sorry I couldn't get the name of the company.
I was attempting to cross South Landmark Avenue at the crosswalk, to run an errand at Williams Brothers Pharmacy. I pressed the button on the crosswalk to signal my need to cross. The button responded with the usual voice saying "Wait." However, the crosswalk light never came on, so I could not cross. I use a power chair that is not fast enough to cross between traffic, and that is shorter than most cars (so I cannot easily be seen by drivers when crossing). What is normally a 20 minute errand took me 3 hours as I had to search for a place I could cross.
The stop sign at the intersection of N Grant St and E Alice St is missing.
There are no white lines to show end of street pavement nor are there even middle of the road double lines! Road was repaved last year and still no lineage on this road--Hazardous for sure at night!!
bike route sign run over by car. poetic?
4 Way stop request: Eller Rd & Garrison Chapel Rd. This intersection is currently a two way stop. Traffic stops on Eller at both sides and Garrison Chapel does not stop. This should be changed to the very least a 4 way stop. It has very poor visibility issues especially when turning left or right from Eller onto Garrison Chapel due to the hill on Garrison slightly south of Eller. I have lived at this intersection 3 years and have seen three major accidents where people have sustained serious injuries. This morning (4/28/23) a school bus turning left onto Garrison Chapel from Eller was Tboned by a truck and the driver of the truck sustained some serious injuries. This area also has poor cell service, so if we hadn't been home I don't know if they would have been able to make the call out for help as that intersection has no service.
I drove from Menards to 45 on Liberty Dr. in the rain last night. Lane markings were nearly invisible on the wet road surface. When I turned southwest bound on 45 I nearly hit the concrete median because it was indistinguishable from the road surface. Reflectors and reflective lane paint are needed on this entire stretch of road. Reflectors and/or a reflective sign needed on the median on 45.
So much broken glass in the bike lane
There is a speed limit sign--maybe for the upcoming school zone or crosswalk--that is almost entirely blocked by weeds. Heading south on High St, it is between Queens Way (on left) and Greenbriar. Seems like an important one to have fully visible!
