The crew that has come in to work on the construction across from us have been incredibly disrespectful. They brought their three trucks in blacking our street and parking in our permit parking spots of my apartments as well as the apartments across from us. I then looked over to see that one of their men has come over to pee in the apartment parking lot when there is a Porta potty not even fifty feet away. This is such disgusting behavior, to pee right outside of someone’s home, come on. Attached is a screenshot of a video I have of him doing it.
Street light out west of 514 E Moss Creek Road
Weeds on curbside, side walk grass not cut & weed around turn signal control panel and in medium.
Road construction signs have been here for months. No construction is happening. I received a response to my previous report that, "This project is not yet completed. The signs will be removed upon completion." Whatever project this is has also not begun. The signs need to be removed until the project is actually ready to commence. Posting signs months in advance is irresponsible. When and if this mystery project ever starts, crews will be at higher risk because of the street division's poor planning. Everyone in this neighborhood is used to those signs being there for no reason, so they are useless as a safety measure.
The new sensor traffic lights for north/south traffic at the Dunn/Hwy 45 intersection do not sense bicycles. Because the lights differentiate between the left turn and straight lanes, and most traffic is turning left onto the bypass (in both directions) there are often few cars going straight and the straight green light is often not activated - it remains red and only the left turn green lights are activated. Unfortunately there are not good alternative options for bikers, since there are no bike lanes or paths north of the bypass, so bikes must share the driving lanes with cars up to that point. Using the light is the most reasonable approach for cyclists and bike commuters, as there is no other safe access to get to city neighborhoods north of the bypass.
The sidewalk in front of the history center is really messed up and needs to be repaired very badly.
Very large pothole on Huntington near Hillside. Any cyclist running over it will likely result in falls and injuries.
The house at 909 S Dunn Street had a tree removed last week. Whomever hauled away the debris dumped the stump on our property and it is close to blocking the city fire hydrant. It needs to be removed.
The school zone flashing lights did not appear to be flashing heading west (towards High Street) on 2nd street right before the school, despite children, crossing guards, and school busses present. (The lights were flashing heading east at the same time).
