Hello,
Yesterday (Tuesday, June 28, 2016) a new sidewalk was built next door at 1119 N. Lincoln Street. The left over concrete was dumped in the tree plot at the southeast corner of my lot at 1125 N. Lincoln Street.
I would appreciate it if you could see that this problem is corrected.
Thank you,
Kevin Haggerty

Hi, I'm wondering what I need to know about putting a shed in our backyard. How big can it be / where we can put it, etc. My address is actually 1122 E 1st St, not 1123. Thank you.

I am emailing on behalf of a fraternity property at Indiana University-Bloomington. Sigma Alpha Epsilon has 6 parking light poles which are not auto-illuminating as they should at night. I've contacted Duke Energy, and I was told to contact the City of Bloomington Utilities as your office would need to initiate some form of a service request to have them turned on.
Again, this property is on IU's campus. Therefore, I'm trying to determine who is the proper entity, office and/or person to contact. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I am the facilities manager of Trinity Episcopal Church (111 s Grant Street). I reported a gas meter that I believe is unsafe. My case was closed with no further discussion about the concerns of the Church or the well-being and safety of us or our neighbors. The pipe on the meter is NOT well protected and it juts out beyond the profile of the building. Large trucks traverse that alley, not to mention cars. Our building has been struck on occasion by vehicles driving through or backing up while delivering food/supplies etc. The small pipe protecting the meter is only 4 feet tall and has been struck one time already by the wheel of a vehicle. We strongly believe that this will not be the last time and that our building and the well-being of its occupants are being placed in an unsafe situation. While I did not ask that the meter be moved - I would ask that it be better protected at the very least. The pipe protecting it is NOT adequate and it does not address the remainder of the gas pipe that is in danger of being struck by the mirrors or other parts of the very large trucks that regularly enter and exit that alleyway. These are the two issues we want addressed. I will be saving copies of this report and the last one - along with the city's response in our files here at Trinity. When that pipe is struck by a passing vehicle, we will be holding all of the parties we've reported this issue to, responsible. I strongly urge the City and the Gas Company Centerpoint to reconsider leaving that meter in its unsafe and inadequately protected condition.
Thank you,
Kevin Burdeshaw

The area along the south side of Rose Hill cemetery on W. 3rd St, west from Walker until the lights from Cresent Donut and the Marathon station has NO street lighting. This is a corridor that often has the homeless headed to Wheeler Mission. I have driven on it at night and found people walking and a guy in a wheelchair as well in the west-bound travel lane of this roadway -- virtually invisible! Until Beacon's new facility is built, which I am sure will have outdoor lighting, this is unsafe for the bicyclists and pedestrians who travel this piece of the old Whitehall Pike.

Does the city have a plan for taking in, and disposing of, our old trash bins and cans? Saying that "Residents are encouraged to reuse their old trash cans as yard waste containers" seems ingenuous. How long a yard waste season goes Bloomington have? -- 6 months? Where will I store 2 35-gal. cans and a 20-gal., plus the 3 bins currently used for recycling -- since my garage will be filled up with two 64-vallon containers?
