My next door neighbors at 2100 W 106th St have a bush in the grass area between side walk & street that grows high & wide & blocks the view from driveway to see the traffic on 106th St. It's a busy street & difficult to pull out & back out as is, but with the neighbors bush it makes it even more difficult. It blinds the view and we are concerned of getting in an accident because of it. For last few years it's grown taller & wider & we even talked to the neighbors about it about 1 1/2 yrs ago, but they didn't seem to think it was an issue & did nothing about it. I don't want to be a disgruntled neighbor, but also do not want to get in a car accident from the blinding view, trying to leave my driveway. It is very frustrating. I would like to know what the rules are for planting trees, bushes or plants on the section of grass between the sidewalk & street is & if the neighbors could be requested to remove or trim down the bush.

I have never had car accidents since 2010. But a recent Carfax report reveals that an accident has reported to you in Feb. 7th, 2010. “My car ran off road and hitted a tree”. I think it’s unimaginable. Can you help me to check the vehicle accident report? Thank you very much.

I am writing to urge you to extend the amount of time between the issuance of a parking ticket and the date on which the price of that ticket doubles. I realize I am lucky to have a secure job associated with a decent wage that allows me to occasionally absorb the cost of a parking ticket, for those rare times when I accidentally exceed my expected amount of time downtown. However, it was not so long ago, when I was a graduate student, that I truly lived paycheck-to-paycheck, and had a lot of difficulty making it through the second half of the month. A $20 parking ticket which doubles in price within 10 days would have been a very difficult expense to manage. And it should be recognized that even those of us who diligently pay our meters occasionally run into difficulties that cause us to run over. At the same time, we often overpay for the meter ($$ for which we are never reimbursed). In any event, a parking ticket that doubles in price within 10 days puts an undue burden on those residents of Bloomington who are in a challenging financial situation. Currently there is NOT a light back here. We live at 725 N Lindbergh, our car has been stolen out of our driveway, last November. Hoping a street light can be installed on the road behind our house? My apartment building at 3405 E. Longview Ave. does not get recycling services, but I see that my neighbors in the same are do. When will be be able to have recycling?
