Hello, On Friday, April 19, 2025, the town was trimming the trees in the back area (of my yard) to clear the electrical wires. During the work, the decorative angel in my rear yard was damaged - see attached photo. I discovered this damage on Sunday afternoon, when mowing my lawn. Yesterday I observed two men sharing a crack pick smoking crack in front of the downtown post office. Today while having breakfast at McDonalds south Walnut while eating breakfast I observed a male dark T shirt and jeans and beard and a woman bonding hair white hooded sweat shirt sharing a crack pipe right in window by the outside tables and no one even blinked an eye. I guess this is Bloomingtons new norm turn blind eyes to narcotic use so typical.

City of Bloomington showed up to cut trees from this property. They parked in the lot without permission and they blocked an entrance to the lot with their trucks. Time and time again the City is doing things on this corner either without permission of the property owners and/or without advance notice. There are operating businesses on this corner and this is private property. Blocking an entrance to a business is completely unacceptable.

This cop 1705 has been blocking the alleyway for over an hour so far (30 minutes is the legal amount) Really bad for business to have a cop car right next to your business door. He does this often and it does not improve the safety and negatively impacts business to have him stationed on Kirkwood in such a manner.
