While digging holes for a tree planting on 4/30 behind St. Thomas, we found 3 thin utility lines in one of the dug holes (lines were not harmed) -- our 811 ticket was completed, so we think these may be inactive lines but wanted to make sure before we put the tree in that spot. Is this something the CoB can check on?
Thanks!

Disgraceful that this property has been allowed to destroy important habitat to replace it with a barren, sterile lawn

There’s something small and silver glinting in the sun, not an airplane. Maybe a drone, but much, much higher than a personal drone. (I think) I don’t know how to estimate how high up it is. Are those allowed?

I was driving south on Rogers; a worker was placing signs. As I passed, a sign fell over, smashing into my car. I stopped immediately; the worker joined me. We could see no dents nor scratches. Then at home I saw the damage. The sign broke the base of my car's antennae. This will now need o be replaced. What is the process for having the city cover the cost of this damage?
Thank-you,
Kim Schilke

Loud bass/music in vicinity, can't tell where it's coming from exactly - there are lots of houses in the area with several cars parked nearby, maybe a party?

I’m writing to inform you that someone threw a stone at my wife’s car and broke the window of the pilot. We don’t know who did it, but the car was well parked inside our lot. This happened on Saturday, May 13th around 7 pm.
We haven’t filed a police report, because we don’t know how.

This graffiti is either an unpermitted public art display under the city's public art approval process or a violation of the city's sign ordinance. No matter the message, the city needs to insist that private property owners remove or cover graffiti as soon as possible to discourage future vandalism and prevent an intimidating downtown atmosphere. The city regularly requires private property owners to address unsightly items such as accumulated trash and unmowed lawns. Graffiti should be treated no differently.
