There are two utility lights on either side of my property that are LEDs and they are so bright they shine in mine and my neighbors windows disrupting our sleep and other activities! They need to be changed to one of the amber dimmer street lights!
Dangerous biking behaviors on walking/biking trail between Olcott Park and Sherwood Oaks Park. Can signs be placed to instruct cyclists to 1. slow down for pedestrians 2. signal by bell or voice if passing from behind 3. be prepared to stop should it be necessary. A woman and her daughter came down the path at a high speed, did not announce their presence, and almost ran over our 5 year old granddaughter. Education concerning bicycling etiquette might help. Is the city or county responsible for enforcing the speed limit that people travel on Kinser Pike between the stop sign at BHSN and the I-69 overpass? People routinely drive 40-60 MPH, especially on the straight sections even though the hills prevent them from seeing a pedestrian or bicyclist. The posted speed limit is 30 MPH. Can something not be done to slow them down? I am starting with this question to the city because the city clears the street so I thought the speed limit might be under city responsibility also. It is horribly dangerous to attempt walking on the road and there are no sidewalks between Acuff Rd and I-69. Can one of the units that tracks people's speed be set up to monitor and notify people that they are driving over the speed limit? One white sporty car drives so fast through the Bayles Rd T straight away that it is an unidentifiable white blur.
Sidewalks on Maxwell end just before my house and I would like to request that they be extended. I have small children and we live right at Miller and Maxwell, which is an active intersection with a lot of folks turning from Miller towards my house. My kids enjoy riding their bikes, but we don't ride nearly as often because I worry about them going out into the street. I would like to request that sidewalks be extended down at least to cover my house.
To the best of my knowledge, this property is not zoned residential. There is not a HAND permit on file either. But there are people living in the garages and possibly in other structures on the lot (shed/RV/Semi trailer). I don't believe the property is connected to sanitary sewer and may have an old septic not rated for residential.
"Benchmark Foster parents Needed" sign in the grass, according to the Elevate map in the ROW, on E Third Street, at the entrance to First United Church (=2420 E Third). INDOT tells me that this is in the City of Bloomington's jurisdiction.
