The beautiful Linden tree in front of our store (JL Water's) has been reported a couple of times now for dangerous hanging branches. The christmas lights from a few years ago are all that is keeping these some of these good sized branches from falling on pedestrians or cars. Please send somebody out asap, thank you. We love the tree and think just a trim is necessary!

Why are we allowing the unhoused to live in this park? There are currently 9 people sleeping in the park. People are bringing them charcoal and they are living in the shelters.

The thistle weeds near the parking area are about 4 feet tall and numerous. The doggie poop bin is full and smells nasty. Could someone come and clear out the weeds?

A few weeks ago, I noticed that there were some limestone slabs put on the rail trail entrance near Gordon Pike to keep away the cars that I had seen driving back there. Then I went on a run with my dad back there and we noticed that all of the tents seemed to be gone. I was excited that it seemed like that area was being cleaned up, however people are back to living on the newer trail that runs parallel to the rail trail. There have been only two incidents where I have tried to run on the rail trail and turned around both times because I felt unsafe. Both times, I heard someone yelling sounding agitated from the encampment on the trail. I would love to run on the Rail Trail because it is a beautiful trail and perfectly shaded for hot summer runs, but I just don't feel safe. I realize that this is a bigger issue to solve, but it is just frustrating to me that I cannot utilize that trail, even if I am with someone else, because I just don't feel safe. It is disappointing that Bloomington has beautiful parks and trails that people don't want to use because they feel unsafe.

Someone has cut a hole in the railroad fence in this approximate location on the Grimshaw Trail. The picture shows the hole and the insert is the nearest utility pole to the east of the damage.

One of the two trees in the City ROW in front of this house (the west tree) is almost completely dead with large branches high up that look like they could fall any minute onto something or someone. The east tree looks fine, except for all the vines growing on it that could be stressing it.

Large (beautiful) sycamore on the SE corner of Fess/11th is encased in vines, some of which are poison ivy. This is right by the sidewalk, and appears to be in the City ROW. Is the trimming of the vines the responsibility of the owner? Elevate says IU owns this parcel. It looks like the vines are so heavy that it is stressing the tree. There is also a large maple (?) just east of it that has some vines, but it only looks like a Euonymous.

Sign near church lane points to trailblazer challenge on OuterSpatial but only thing under challenges is about fishing
We believe the sign mentioned is located where the Clear Creek Trail turns into the Limestone Greenway. The Trailblazer Challenge yard sign belongs to Monroe County Parks and Recreation, who also use the OuterSpatial mobile app. Monroe County Parks has not updated their app challenges in a while. Nat Resources Coordinator Rebecca Swift contacted Monroe County Parks Assistant Director John Robertson so he is aware outdated yard signs are still out on their trails.
