Broken swing
Broken swing
I’m writing to express concern about the current condition of the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. As a member for several years who regularly participates in several of the free classes offered, I’ve seen the facility over time and feel it’s important to share these concerns. While the Center has great potential, several ongoing issues are significantly impacting the overall experience. First, the lack of music in the workout areas makes the environment feel uninviting and low-energy. Music is a basic expectation in most fitness spaces and plays an important role in motivation. Additionally, much of the equipment appears outdated and in need of replacement or maintenance. This not only affects usability but can also raise safety concerns. Along those same lines, the furniture throughout the facility is worn and visibly old, which contributes to an overall impression that the space is not being adequately maintained. There are also operational issues that need attention. Broken clocks throughout the facility make it difficult for folks to manage their time effectively during workouts or classes. On top of that, the limited class availability does not meet the community's needs, especially for those who rely on structured fitness options. It would be nice to have multiple time slots for the HIIT and Bootcamp classes! Taken together, these issues create an experience that falls short of what a community recreation facility should provide. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and that improvements can be made to better serve the community. Thank you.
The lights installed at the RCA Park Pickleball Courts are incredibly bright and send light hundreds of feet into the surrounding park, the woods near the park, and the surrounding homes close to the park. It is a real disruption to those of us who live near the park and I am also concerned about the disruption it has on local wildlife. Would it be possible to have the lights adjusted in some way to reduce the overall light pollution either by lowering their output or changing the angle? I have photos of the issue I can send if that would be helpful.
One pickle ball net is too high and the other one is too low. It's the courts furthest from the police station.

TREE LIMBS AND SHRUB LIMBS OVER HANG ON THE ROAD. IN SOME SPOTS IT IS A 1 LANE ROAD. OWNER OF PROPERTY WILL NOT TRIM.
Can you please grind this root-lifted portion of bike path to make it more accessible? It's right by the entrance to Rev Butler Park on the bike path. Closest cross-street is N Fairview St
Tree that appears to be dead is overhanging the B-Line Trail. The closest lightpost is labeled #181. Nearest cross street is N Adams
On Sunday, April 12 I was out for a bicycle ride with my family on the Limestone Greenway. There was a man on an electric motorcycle. Not a pedal assisted e-bike, but a high speed motorcycle. He appeared to be an on-duty sheriff's deputy. I understand that they may want to patrol but they should be using vehicles that are allowed on the trails unless there is an emergency which warrants something larger or faster. We felt like we were followed by him, though he pretended to be nice and claimed just to be out enjoying a ride, just like us. It made us all uncomfortable. I usually don't submit these anonymously but with Flock and all this shit it makes one paranoid.
When walking in the cemetery a needle was lying in the grass. Disconcerting as I was walking with a curious dog and 3-year old.
