We have had a drainage issue here for 20 years and I have asked for help many times and no one will do anything to help us. Our grate is a poor design and gets clogged by yard debris from areas of the neighborhood and caused our area to flood. Tonight we were home to pull the grate to allow for water to recede and not go further into our garage to our house. Would someone please listen to us. We have reported this several times and also in person. We are afraid to be away from our home if there is a serious storm in the area.

The water runoff from Sare Road travels down McCartney Lane to end in a very small drain that is not large enough to facilitate proper drainage. This photo was from yesterday‘s mild rain. At times the water is much deeper and standing longer because the drain is clogged. A larger drain needs to be installed or possibly an additional drain as well, further up the road. This may be leading to erosion of soil and possibly foundation issues and needs to be addressed soon. We are also due to have our road paved this year so the drainage would need to be fixed prior to that. Please advise.

Location: 1212 S High St (High & Covenanter) Notes: The stormwater conveyance is public, and the wall is in the ROW. Homeowner came to CBU with the following complaint & request: The stone retaining wall next to the ditchline is deteriorating; this is the 2nd failure in the wall due to drainage problems.  Homeowner states that the ditch is in poor condition, not flowing properly, and full of "mud piles", etc which is causing erosion below the wall. He is requesting a call to schedule a time to meet onsite to show staff what is happening and determine what can be done about it. If he is not available by phone, he requests that we knock on the door upon arrival so they are aware of our visit and will walk the site with us. I notified him that most of our staff is currently out of the office, but someone should be able to meet with him on Friday. (He agreed to this potential timeframe.)

The hill on East Moore's going up from Sare Rd to Andrew Circle becomes a full on river when it rains, and a bobsled track when that rain freezes. It's very dangerous.

two properties above us the road all the water on the road goes into the yard comes down toward are house crossing on road since it is all down hill into the neighbors beside us into my yard. it drains.in front of my garage and runs on my . about 3 to 4 inches of water on my side walk .side walk. also the road south of us also runs in neighbor east of my house also runs runs to my house. South of me there is a a large building about 40 feet long that doesn't have gutters it runs down across the road on neighbors which in turn runs toward my house. II have pictures to send in the mail which I wi8ll need to send you because I don't know how to send them in the mail. I have spent 400.00 to put a ridge to keep from running in my yard. I also had a drain dug in my drive about 4 feet from the fence running about 2 foot deep running toward the drain in the back of my house that cost me 650.00. I will write on the back of the picture that will explain what they are for when I send them thank you and I will write on the back . Also in front of garage my small car is on ramps so the water will not get my brake shoes wet and i have to not park my other car about7 feet from the garage so i can;t park a car behind my car. Severe erosion issues from tree removal and other excavation work in backyard without proper erosion control measures put in place or inspected. Flood plain below the property is becoming badly silted on city of Bloomington property adjoining Jackson Creek. Site grading in the area appears to be completed, but erosion issues persist.
