At the entrance to Winslow Sports Complex there are several large orange barriers sitting on the sides of the entry road. They were placed there during IU's graduation weekend and they continue to be there a month later. This is just a personal request but we have not seen them used for anything during the month and we live in the house right across the street...and we have several windows that we look out many times a day and they are the first thing we see. We've lived here for 20 years and have never had to see large orange objects thru our side windows and we would love to see them removed so we can enjoy the unobstructed sight of the park entrance again. :-) Thank you for your consideration...we are lucky to live across from so much green space and trees and the large orange barriers just don't fit the view :-)

I believe the city's fiber company (Gigabit Now) has a covered hole near the fire hydrant at the end of our driveway. The green cover to this hole sits probably higher than some people think and the person that mows most of the lawns in our neighborhood must have ran over it and it broke into several pieces. It appeared to be low enough for that not to happen but it must have been higher than he thought. Now there is a decent sized hole with no cover as the other cover is irreparable. If it can be replaced for safety reasons we will be sure to let the lawn guy know to watch out for it. Thank you for your attention in this matter!

We have lived on first st since 2020 and our stretch of road (between the stop sign at Woodlawn and the one on Henderson) that our young child has to cross to get to his school bus stop is the only section of first Street residentially that has a big space between stop signs and no speed bumps. Because of this what I've noticed, since the speed bumps east of Woodlawn and first were put in, is people often speed on our stretch of road. There are two other families at our bus stop and they have noticed the same thing and often worry about crossing the street to either get to the park or the bus stop as a result. I believe we also need speed bumps on our stretch of road as it feels like drivers are now compensating and trying to make up for lost time.
