I am again seeing announcements for new hires for items like safe and civil cities with ZERO mention of the significant LGBTQ community in this town. All deserve safe and civil cities, including LGBTQ residents. A community under intense threat at the highest levels in years. What is the City doing to specifically serve and protect queer community members? Who is the staff member assigned to have expertise and devoted time to this task?
And bigger question, what is the City doing to prepare for the Trump administration taking power and attacking the LGBTQ community. What plans are being made? What is the City doing to pledge and realistically defend the rights and livelihood of queer people as politicians attempt to destroy such families and eradicate this group from existence? Don't be blindsided. This will be where queer people go for those who remain in Indiana, some without choice.

The impact of the recent construction projects on traffic patterns is hard to bear. Could we get some information about why these projects are happening now instead of the summer?

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring a concerning incident to your attention.
As a Clinical Case Manager with Centerstone, one of our clients recently disclosed an encounter with a city employee named Charles. According to the client, Charles, who was working after hours but who was not wearing a police uniform, took the client's bottle of whiskey and traded it for a pack of cigarettes.
Unfortunately, this client had to be sent to the Emergency Room later that day due to withdrawal symptoms.
Due to HIPAA regulations, I am unable to disclose the client's identity. Despite potential risks to my position, I felt it was important to share this information with you.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The streetlight at Stull Avenue and Grimes Lane is out. Can it be replaced? A number of children walk this way to the school bus in the morning. Thanks.

County is getting 16 paid holidays and discussion of 8.5% COLA raise with starting salaries already at a higher wage than most comparable positions within the City, in addition to many roles working 8am-4pm. Will this continued deficit in pay and benefits be addressed in the upcoming budget decisions for City staff?

When is the city going to match the County for work hours/hours worked? Closing at 4pm makes public meetings available to start earlier in the evening, reduces traffic stress on roads as a major employer (remote work accomplishes this too), and creates less confusion on need of City versus County services and what hours they can be reached.

Hello! Has Bloomington parks and rec ever looked into building a pump track in one of the parks? Kokomo has one: https://www.cityofkokomo.org/departments/northside_pump_track.php and Indy has one although it's not well advertised and very very small: https://parks.indy.gov/parks/sandorf-park/
I've never been involved in any of the city parks efforts before and have no idea what it takes to build for example the existing two skate parks at cascades and switchyard that cater more to street and vert/bowl skateboarding and other sports. I was very surprised to see that Kokomo has a pump track and we didn't. Thanks for any information you can provide !
