The parent pick up lane continues to cause major issues with this street. The parents block the area where there is a lane merger with a cross walk. The parents need to follow the rules of the road and wait until the line is moving allowing the residents of the area to use that street. The teachers that guard there are rude, and will not allow you to go past even with no kids in sight. I understand there is another way through the neighborhood, but it is out of the way, and doesn't stop the fact that they are not above the law, and that street should not be blocked for ANYTIME. If there was an emergency, is it right for a loved one to have to wait for help due to a parent pickup line? This is an issue that can be EASILY fixed with the guards stopping the parents from blocking the merged area allowing for the traffic to flow. This has been brought to the school who basically puts their hands up like it isn't their teachers out there yelling at residents just trying to make it home.
there have been many complaints against Reseve on third and nothing has been done. below I have copied city code, according to city code they are in violation please look into the madder and stop abusing your powers and ignoring them. 16.04.050 - Exterior structure. Rideshare drivers (Uber, Lyft, etc) regularly stop and park in the middle of the bike lane at this location while they load up passengers from the nearby rental units. Last evening, I explained to one of them that it was not a place to park, but she just smiled, cackled, and drove off. Is this even a violation, or can they just stop anywhere they please for as long as they like? If it is a violation, and since it's so close to the police station, it seems like there could easily be an officer out there handing out tickets to teach them a lesson. Maybe they eventually will get the message that they don't own the roads.
Storm Drainage system at corners of Sheffield with Cambridge and Providence aren't sufficient and often are overwhelmed during heavy rains. This happens even without them being clogged.
We have a drainage pipe? That runs under our ground and out to 10th street. Us custodians try to keep the ditch clean across the yard, but the pipe is so clogged with sand and dirt we’re getting a deep pond after a rain. When the pond water goes over our hill it takes debris with it onto our sidewalk and sometimes to the city bus stop. Is this something you can help with? Thanks!
The storm drain in front of 816 has mostly filled with silt again, the drain is overflowing with water even in the light rain
Way to many people
Overflowing sanitary sewer draining directly into storm sewer system with direct route to lake Griffy.
Water rapidly bubbling up from sanitary sewer manhole cover, flowing into storm drain.
