Hi, there is a bunch of sand on the sidewalk at 401 W 7th in front of what I think is the Monroe County voter registration building. This was reported back in July in case #192518 but it was never cleaned up so thought maybe there was some confusion over where/what was being reported so I am including a picture this time. To whom it may concern Hello, I’m writing to express my concern regarding an incident that happen on 10/16/24. My vehicle had an electrical fire down town on 4th street in front of the India restaurant. I am a single mother of three daughters who I’m struggling to greatly to afford with the cost of food continuing to raise. I work at a CNA during the day while my children are in school but it doesn’t always provide enough. I was doing uber the night of so I could feed my family. My family is my responsibility and I take that very seriously. After the electrical fire, I had no way of moving the vehicle. The officer on scene gave me permission to leave the vehicle parked until I could get ahold of my insurance company. It was not in the road way, it wasn’t blocking traffic, the restaurant owner was not concerned about it being left there, he told me himself that I could park it in his parking space behind the restaurant. unfortunately it could not be moved without a tow truck. the vehicle was left in a parking place and the officer stated that adjustments could be made due to the Circumstances. The next morning I spoke with insurance and the vehicle was supposed to be picked up. I informed the parking enforcement department that it would be moved. Also explaining that it was not possible for me to pay for a tow at that time. I understand the inconvenience of the situation and I apologized over and over. The woman I spoke with got nasty with me several times and hung up on me twice while I was trying to explaining to her my situation and how limited I was but I was doing everything I could. I called the insurance company over and over explaining the importance of the vehicle being moved. The last phone call I got from the parking enforcement woman was the nastiest. She was extremely aggressive and was using her job tittle as a weapon. She told me after this call I will ticket the vehicle every hour until it’s moved and then proceeded to hang up on me yet again. After about the second call I realized the woman’s aggression was progressing so I recorded the last two phone calls for the purpose of bringing her behavior to the attention of anyone above her. The way that I was treated was uncalled for and more importantly it was cruel. To be ridiculed, threatened and quite frankly bullied should not be accepted and I get the feeling it’s not her first time. I will go as far as I need to if this situation is not handled, because there is no humanity in kicking someone while they are down. I not only was given the ticket but treated with so much disrespect. Her position gives her the power to bully the citizens of this community and someone needed to bring attention to it. She said her name was Jessica and she worked on 10/16/21.

Hello! Has Bloomington parks and rec ever looked into building a pump track in one of the parks? Kokomo has one: https://www.cityofkokomo.org/departments/northside_pump_track.php and Indy has one although it's not well advertised and very very small: https://parks.indy.gov/parks/sandorf-park/ I've never been involved in any of the city parks efforts before and have no idea what it takes to build for example the existing two skate parks at cascades and switchyard that cater more to street and vert/bowl skateboarding and other sports. I was very surprised to see that Kokomo has a pump track and we didn't. Thanks for any information you can provide !
Our next door neighbors that recently moved in within the last month have been aggressively loud. With them owning dogs that are constantly barking, as well as what sounds like people running and constantly banging in their apartment. These noises have been causing us issues as it is hard to study or focus or even just watch tv as they are constantly making noises. With the previous tenants we never heard them or had issues with them, which means it is them that is being too loud. We have noticed that there are an alarming number of people that seem to live there that contributes to the loudness, we have different landlords than them which means we can’t report them this way. We really just need them to be more quiet and to train the dog cause it shouldn’t be barking every minute. Sorry for the long message but this is really troubling to us and we need it fixed for peace of mind as it is making us go crazy.
There is a rather large broken tree limb hanging over the street that will likely fall during one of those windy gusty days this Fall or Winter. The limb is too high in the tree for me to pull down. Can the City remove that broken limb? The tree is in the city right-of-way. Thank you.
We lost our street tree to the recent wind storm. Will it be replaced? If so, can you let us know when? Thank you.
