Pothole in the middle of the street on Ruby, right after the intersection with Nancy.
This tree is rubbing on what appears to be a live utility pole.
I'm not sure who would do this, but I think Bloomington, Indiana, needs to do a famous people of Bloomington historical exhibit somewhere. I learned today Mick Foley (a wrestling legend) is from Bloomington! Who knew! Why isn't this celebrated and out there in the public. Invite this man to give a speech or something!
Can someone request police monitor for street racing in park ridge east around midnight. It's been frequent lately. Police have been called before on it.
Winslow Woods has neighbors, on west side, that are clear cutting the woods (fresh stumps) behind their(?) homes, also they are leaving large brush piles of yard waste. They are making trails and lining them with cut trees.
Empty lot in Northwoods Estates. Grass over foot tall.
I am not reporting an issue but just providing general feedback about the business development aspects of Bloomington. The city should work to attract more eco-friendly businesses for personal services, such as a high-quality Aveda salon. Also, I believe that Bloomington would be a better place for adult working professionals if major area employers exceeded Cook Medical and Indiana University. Even amid and after the pandemic recovery, more area businesses should consider offering remote work opportunities to attract more talent to the Bloomington community. Also, Bloomington needs more flexible housing options (month to month rentals) that do not require leasing contracts. Perhaps the city should even consider attracting and implementing more quality and affordable extended stay hotel housing to accommodate professionals and students in transition.
My recycling wasn’t picked up yesterday. I left it out today to be picked up please.
Is there some tool to send comments to Council? Why are people who supposedly supporting affordable housing instead supporting elite neighborhood interests pretending that the very prospect of duplexes in the core of a city somehow destroys neighborhoods? What a joke. Way to help the rich stay rich at a time of extreme housing crisis. It's a flipping duplex in areas that they make sense, not a skyscraper or dump site. Please send to their offices my concern that they are but catering to the faux progressives more concerned with their net worth that has already exploded in those homes above community need.
Lot has not yet been mowed this year.
