I am the philanthropy chair for a large organization on IU's campus and wanted to work with the city on finding a location where we could hold an event to benefit the boys and girls club.. The sidewalk just north of the YMCA sign on South Highland Ave is slick with mud. Erosion from an adjacent hillside and mud/leaves from the gutter keep the sidewalk muddy. I shoveled mud off off it for an hour earlier this week, but it needs more work. Cleaning the gutter would be a big help. Thanks!
Crews have patched potholes on Montclair Ave within the last few weeks, but they missed an area that is on the edge of the roadway, next to the curb, near the southeast corner of Montclair, right near the intersection with Rock Creek. There are several holes that fill with water after a storm, leaving standing water that will encourage mosquito breeding. Please come back and fix this spot. Thanks, John
Residents at 814 S. Eastside Drive routinely park on their lawn to fit 4 to 5 vehicles in the driveway. There are 2 cars parked on the lawn.
I have previously compalined to Jeanne Walter Realty about a overgrown yard whose foliage and vines block the stop sign at Swain and E University St. I also complained to the city. Nothing has been done and the vines and bushes have grown worse. The house is on the northeast corner of Swain and E. University. I also told the current renter about the problem. Please have someone fix it since an accident will happen eventually on that corner.

Hi: I am just wondering who is responsible for street/landscape maintenance along certain streets in the city and county that I travel often. Along Smith Rd., just north of Hillside, there was a lot of brush that has been cut down but nothing else and an ugly partial fence is still standing. The new roundabout at Sare Rd. and Rogers….who is responsible for maintaining the landscaping that was installed. It is a bunch of weeds right now. Along south Highland, just north of Rogers, there is a curve that is alway full of potholes and the street and sidewalk are a mess. On Sare Rd., at the entrance to Hyde Park, who is responsible for a mess of grass clippings that is always left after the grass is allowed to grow very, very long. It is still there. Just some questions. I tried to attach photos but I have not had success. Thanks. Debbie Kuratko
