The trash or recycling truck drove through the median area in the middle of the cul de sac in between 500 and 501 South Arbutus Drive. This left deep tire ruts in the grass.
City trash and recycling truck drivers normally back down our street since the trucks are too large to navigate the turn-around. The driver today may have been unfamiliar with this practice.

Street & Traffic Signs

Please consider installing a "one way" sign on the NE corner of Walnut/9th pointing west to indicate to drivers travelling north on Walnut that 9th is one-way west. There is already a sign on the NW corner, but that is not always seen by drivers who are intending to turn right onto 9th.
Street & Traffic Signs

There was an accident on our corner (9th & Walnut) this weekend. I didn’t see it, but heard it and saw the immediate aftermath. Looking at the positions of the cars, I guessed that the car that was hit had been crossing Walnut via 9th and was t-boned. When I looked at the stop signs on 9th Street, I realized that there is no indication for the driver that this is NOT a 4-way stop. These big crosswalks could easily make people think that it’s a 4-way. These 9th Street stop signs need “cross traffic does not stop” signs added to them so that drivers new to Bloomington can be safer.
