Hello during recycle pick up today i witnessed the people look at our can, that was completely shut and not overflowing, and take a piece out to make it look like it was and not pick it up. This is unacceptable as they took everyone else’s as well that was overflowing even though ours was not. They have done this in the past as well and I have put in requests for then as well. Thanks

A storm caused a power line to break. We did not lose power, but there was much sparking. We reported to Duke. They sent someone out to fix the line. They had to chop the top half of a tree down to reach the line with a cherry picker. They through all the debris in our backyard. In calling around, to remove this tree debris will cost $400-$650. We do not have the funds for this. If we hadn't called, we would not have incurred this cost. I called Duke to investigate this very tree months back, as it seemed to be leaning on wires. The technician said there was no problem with the tree. Not several months later, the line is hit, and we have to pay money to remove the debris
Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. When we have a large rainfall, raw sewage bubbles out of my in-laws front yard. They are at the lowest point of the sanitary sewer line by the sewer lift pump. This only happens after a large rainfall. The issue is backflow from the sewer main. Their front yard clean out plug becomes the overflow valve for the neighborhood sanitary sewer. They have had their sewer line inspected and the issue is not a back-up from the house to the street. I walked through a stream of human waste and toilet paper that was bubbling up in their front yard and running down their driveway towards North Walnut this morning. There seems to be a communication between the storm and the sanitary sewers leading to a release of raw sewage in my in-laws front yard that poses a health risk. This has happened three times this spring and poses a health risk. This needs to be repaired correctly.
