Please consider a stop sign on Southdowns and circle drive. People come up westbound on southdowns heading around the corner very fast. We have many walkers and children and it is a blind curve.
Location: 1212 S High St (High & Covenanter) Notes: The stormwater conveyance is public, and the wall is in the ROW. Homeowner came to CBU with the following complaint & request: The stone retaining wall next to the ditchline is deteriorating; this is the 2nd failure in the wall due to drainage problems. Homeowner states that the ditch is in poor condition, not flowing properly, and full of "mud piles", etc which is causing erosion below the wall. He is requesting a call to schedule a time to meet onsite to show staff what is happening and determine what can be done about it. If he is not available by phone, he requests that we knock on the door upon arrival so they are aware of our visit and will walk the site with us. Question: why do my house plumbing leaks occur when lots of people leave town for vacation? This happens not every vacation, but most of the leaks in my house have occurred like today, at vacation time, or 4th of july, etc. Is it that city water pressure to my house goes up then? Do you try to regulate pressure for this vacation exodus?
I was damn near killed today by a car that didn't stop at the corner of High Street and Maxwell Lane. The car was coming south on High Street while I was coming west on Maxwell. There is no crosswalk at the intersection, but there is a stop sign for traffic. The stop sign is not stopping traffic.
Hi, I am concerned about the intersection of Hillside and Nancy. When traveling south on Nancy and coming up to the stop sign on Hillside, the property to left and right of Nancy is overgrown with vegetation. This makes it hard to see oncoming Hillside traffic from the east. It also makes it hard to see pedestrian traffic approaching the intersection from the west.
I have traveled High Street between Arden Rd. and 3rd Street twice a day for the last ten years. Every time there is a heavy rain, water accumulates and flows down High Street between E. Mores Pike and 2nd St. forcing me to move to the other lane to avoid going through large amounts of water creating a very unsafe situation. I was delighted to see this section of High Street repaved last summer and noticed the sewers also being worked on. I assumed, incorrectly, that the runoff problem would be corrected during this maintenance project. Since the paving the runoff has actually gotten worse. Are there plans to fix this unsafe situation so cars can travel safely on High Street without endangering drivers and pedestrians? I regularly see in the Herald Times where is city is allocating and spending money on hiking and biking trails, sidewalks and various pedestrian conveniences. Natural gas workers heavy equipment has been parking on the 900 block of East Side drive for several months. The daily noise is the biggest, though not only problem. Each day, their work takes them further from this location, yet they return to this spot to park. It is an unfair burden to have the source of this extraordinary disruption in our faces for so long. Please require them to find another location to park. I have a sleep disorder and this noise has become a threat to my health, as well as a disruption to the peace of our neighborhood -- for months!
The front yard is getting tall, the back yard is much worse.
