Second Report: House at 717 North Maple has been long abandoned, windows are broken and anyone could get in; at risk of becoming a drug house. (Address on map is incorrect - I wish there was a way to enter a street address into the map)
There is a lot of litter from the Clear Creek Trail access on W. Country Club going west to the roundabout on Tapp. Most of the trash is in the area where utility and right-away work is being done. Both sides of the road.
Subject: Re: uReport Case #162510 - 3433_E._Third_St._property_needs_owner_attention Mike Arnold -- An update from a coupe weeks past on this address, I have been been busy or else would have sent a message sooner. 2/10/18: I reported to Bloomington Police the north, back of house, doors open. Lower door wide open, upper door open but storm door closed. Officers (six) arrived and cleared the house, Windows are still unlocked and storm windows may be opened as they are not closed in place on nearly all windows. Please make contact with the owner and request that they close all windows and check the two doors so they may be closed and locked. I have mentioned to you in the past, on the lower door, stone wall has fallen and mud prevents storm door to close. This needs attention. Please be more aggressive in your home owner contact. Monitoring this house and follow up on securing the house is now using Police time and resources. Plus my time and others neighbors concern that the house is being entered by homeless and others trespassers. It appears a mess inside and needs attention. If you cannot get results on this homeowner's negligence, see history back to 2004 where the city has sited issues, I will follow up with the Mayor and City legal. This needs to be solved to hold the homeowner accountable for action before something bad happens; house fire, frozen water pipes, trespassers cause issues. If you can, please tell me who the homeowner is and their contact information. I am willing to contact them to discuss issues (as the Neighborhood Association representative) - plus Bloomington Police wish to make contact. Honestly, the entirety of the near north side from Dunn Meadow to 12th street and so is just COVERED in trash. Some yards are worse than others. In my years living here I'm not sure I've seen it so bad for so long. There are a lot of properties that could be cited. You could start with the house at the SW corner of Indiana and 7th and just fan out from there. It is embarrassing to the city, not to mention the university, as we are getting into high school junior visiting season.
The address is 1410 W. 6 St. I couldn't get the cursor on the property. Trash in front. This street has several empty lots, also with trans accumulation

Trash in front and people dumping in the back at the alley. The dumping is fairly recent, with a laundry basket first, now followed by several boxes.
The yard of this property has been in this condition since Mid-December. As this is a registered rental in the City of Bloomington, it is especially maddening as one might assume a ‘professional’ property manager was responsible for maintenance of the property. Can you copy Doris Sims, the HAND director, with this complaint?

On behalf of Eastside Neighborhood Assn: This is our third report of trash/recycling cans left out on Eastside between 3rd and 2nd Sts. Needs follow-up. Also, is the ureport app working? It seemed the response was more immediate with the app than with reports submitted here.
