The citizen at 416 W. 11th Street uses the parking lot behind his building. His access is a East/West alley off of Rogers Street. There is an evergreen tree that blocks the line of sight for those pulling out of this alley trying to go South on Rogers Street. You have to pull partially into the northbound lane on Rogers to see around the tree. The tree also impedes pedestrian traffic along the sidewalk. The tree is behind the sidewalk. During a meeting with today that Mr. Hazen had with the planning department, he mentioned concerns about the vegetation in the median of 3rd Street in the vicinity of his property at 1900 West 3rd Street. His concerns include: the height and density of the median vegetation prevents visibility across 3rd Street, prevents travelers on the roadway from seeing traffic in the opposing lanes, and prevents seeing someone who might be trying to cross 3rd Street mid block, etcetera. He asks that the vegetation be cut back.
