At the intersection of East 10th street and N Smith Rd, N Smith R gets very backed up because traffic does not stop on East 10th. If someone wants to turn left, they have to wait for traffic coming from both ways. There is one lane on N Smith Road so traffic becomes backed up very quickly when someone needs to turn left. This happens especially in the afternoon. Traffic can become so backed up it extends past Meadow Park Apartments, nearing a hill. This can be dangerous when cars cannot see the stopped traffic until after coming over the hill.

I would like this intersection to be "No Turn On Red" for northbound traffic, and possibly have a few seconds delay for pedestrians/bikes to cross before the light turns green. It's dangerous to have cars hooking around bikers in the bike lane trying to go straight across.
Thanks!

You guys think you could take the time to maybe sink the traffic lights around town so you don't literally have to stop at every red light and that's every red light in a row all the crap you guys talk about climate change but yet you've got dozens of cards stopping at every red light You're just incompetent or it's an inside joke

Three weeks ago, I was riding my bike west on 7th St in the bicycle lane as a car entered from Indiana Ave into the bike lane. I had to stop my bike and lift it over the curb to get around the car that was impeding both lanes of the bike lane.
This is not my first experience with cars in the 7th St bike lane.
Please install a post or bollard at the protected bicycle lane entrances to discourage cars from entering it. This is a simple, easy to install, and low cost solution. I don't understand why it wasn't installed in the first place.

Hello, I live on the south side of Bloomington on Coolidge Drive. Down the road from broad view learning center. I had noticed last year that road maintenance had placed speed bumps on all the Broadview neighborhood streets but Coolidge road. They are also now adding permanent speed bumps throughout the neighborhood but haven’t seen any signs that they will out any on Coolidge. Coolidge has a hill coming down from the school leading to Rogers. People fly down this road at 40+ MPH just to slam on their brakes before getting to the stop sign. It is a major concern of mine since people walk the side walks regularly. I’ve had my mailbox hit several times because the road is also smaller than normal and with flying cars then people over correct and cause damage to peoples property and their own cars.
I would like to propose also adding a speed bump on Coolidge to help with the very fast and dangerous driving.
Thank you, Kegan Smith

It seems like the sensors at this intersection (W. 3rd and S. Kimble) aren't functioning correctly. I have noticed since the holidays that this light is often red for east/west traffic. I've approached the light several times as it turns red without any north/south vehicles at the intersection that would trigger a signal change. I just don't remember this light being red for east/west traffic as much as it has been lately. Maybe just pop out there and have a look? No need to respond to me, just getting a ticket into the system. Thank you!

The lights at Henderson and Atwater, and then at Henderson/Indiana at 3rd, are very poorly timed in the morning. The first car through at Henderson-Atwater when the light turns green *might* make it through the green light at Indiana-3rd, but no one else will unless they go way over the speed limit, causing a hazard (which they do). This also causes unnecessary backup and delays on this major road leading toward IU. Meanwhile, traffice on Atwater (especially) and 3rd is very light, both having a very long green with few cars going through. This light timing was bad last year, seemed to have been changed for the better, and now appears to have been changed back.

The traffic light at the intersection of 3rd St. and Hillsdale is currently on a timed cycle that doesn't seem to change at any point during the day. It would be better if there were sensors or something, because I find myself stopping and waiting the entire light cycle sometimes, with no sign of anyone coming from the other street, and that's a waste of time and fuel. So if that ought could give more default preference to the traffic on 3rd St., that would be awesome.
