Hello, I’m not sure if we are reaching out out to the proper party. However, as a neighborhood, we have tried everything else that we can think of, including asking the neighbors nicely to deal with the issues at hand just for them to get worse. They’re trash is repeatedly overflowing all over the ground children leave trash scattered throughout in everyone’s yard never pick it up, the grass is so overgrown that we have literally witnessed crawling out of it. In regards to the trash it has now gotten so bad that you can literally see cockroaches, crawling all over the place, obviously making us fears as neighbors that it will become our problem as well. The trash literally gets so bad that the cans will be overflowing bags will untied on the ground , and even though the trash will still pick it up, it is frustrating because if ours is like that they will refuse to take it. Their recycling can will not able to be closed as well have actual trash bagged up and everything, they will still take it. Again as much as we appreciate it it’s not fair to the rest of us either. A few weeks ago they didn’t even put the trash out to the street. It was in the driveway and the trash man at the time actually put as much effort into stopping the truck physically getting out grabbing the trash cans, dumping them in the truck along with all of the excess bags that were on the ground again things that as neighbors if we want picked up, we have to call in notify you guys and potentially pay an additional fee. Again when it comes to the past issue that it is causing, it is greatly appreciated, but it leaves the rest of us very very frustrated. In regards to the pest and vermin were aware of where we can take the issue. The landlord clearly will not do anything about it. I don’t know the steps the city have taken if there have been any in regards to this, but clearly, even if they have the neighbors don’t take it serious or have any regards to the issues that they’re causing others. Some of us are highly allergic to things such as cockroaches, and. vermin droppings, therefore this is going beyond just becoming a nuisance. It is now becoming an actual health and hazard issue that we would all definitely like to be addressed as soon as possible. Again, we have tried to do it on our own. it doesn’t get anywhere, and at this point it leaves many of us and fear of retaliation because we just don’t know what else to do. There have been pictures upon pictures. I have been able to obtain a few myself that I will attach. I do apologize to some of them are in the dark but again we do live in fear of what would happen to the neighbors see that we are taking pictures of the property and you know trying to get something done about it. I’m also not sure how many pictures can be attached, so if I’m not able to upload more than one, I will do my best to upload the one that shows the severity of the situation. We do greatly appreciate your time reading this and looking into the issue as well. Thank you.
Follow up on ticket 185883. See the picture, The talk did no good, they missed trash pickup again and more trash is strewn about.
Trash has been sitting outside in recycling bins for over a month. Saw a rat by the bins on 10/10/23. This is one of many Jeff Jones affiliated rentals in the neighborhood. He has been called in for violations way to often and should not be allowed to have rental properties in the city.
Neighbors have left their garbage cans on my property for +48 hours after trash pickup
We recently moved to this address and have had a lot of boxes and Styrofoam to throw away. Our trashcan is so small, trash and recycle got picked up today and they are both already full again. Is there a place we can go to dump them or can we get a bigger trashcan?

Bloomington Sanitation Department, At 3 AM of Wednesday, August 8, 2020 on the morning of trash pickup day at 1412 S. Winfield Rd., 47401, my wife was up watching a recorded news program when a crash was heard from the bottom of our driveway where the cans awaited pickup. The bang was followed by a loud dragging sound. She walked to the bottom of the drive and found the landscaping can in the recycling can were gone. She woke me and we searched for the cans until we found them three doors south on the Boulevard of the Southwest corner of the Moores Pike roundabout. At first I thought at 3 AM, it must've been a drunk. However, the more I thought about it, the more unlikely I thought it would be that a drunk would be able to retain the cans for 50 yards. Retaining the cans brings me to the question which I thought worth sharing with the city. I cannot think of any way to carry the cans that far without damaging one's vehicle other than the way the city does it – hooking a lifter up under the bar built-into the can. If a prankster is trying to develop a "trick-or-treat… Throw your garbage in the streets" system, the potential chaos it could create for the city sanitation system seems to me to be huge and I would recommend that the city proactively try to answer the following questions. 1.) Have any of the lifting mechanisms used by the city trucks ever disappeared? 2.) Since this system is presumably used throughout the country, can such a lifter be bought online? 3.) Are there any YouTube videos about how to make a lifter that someone could have been testing on Winfield Road? 4.) Has the company from which the city purchased the cans and lifters had experience with cans being fiddled with when they are sitting ducks beside the road the night before garbage pickup? If so, what did these other municipalities do about it? I got my cans and my trash back in time to leave it out for pickup, but the next victim might not be so lucky. Thanks for your attention, Eric Mjolsnes
There are two piles of trash that were dumped illegally in the alley between Washington, Walnut, Dodds, and Dixie. One pile is in the middle of the alley obstructing traffic (closer to Dixie), and the other pile is closer to Dodds.
There is a dumpster in the alley behind Indiana Auto Sales (not sure if it is residential or commerical) that is not up to code for a business in Bloomington (no concrete slap, and no surrounding fence / wall).
