In January 2023, while an optic cable was being installed on our street, the company called Vertical Underground LLC, which we were informed was contracted by the City of Bloomington to do the job, broke our sewer line (along with the lines of many others of our neighbors). We complained to one of Vertical Underground's managers who was working on fixing our neighbor's line, and he informed us that they would fix the problem and that we didn't need to worry. In order to do the repair, they had to break through our concrete driveway to repair the damage and re-pour the damaged section of the driveway. The problem seemed to be fixed for a few months, however, these past weeks, we have been experiencing the same issues that initially led us to the discovery of the damage they caused. That is, our drains are not draining, toilets are not draining and water is returning through the shower drain. We would like to request that CBU send someone to inspect the situation because we believe that the problem was not fixed properly. Thank you.

Wednesday, August 9 The catch basin on the west side of the street just north of where the Indiana Rail Road crosses Pete Ellis Drive seems to be plugged somewhere underneath the road. Debris doesn’t pile up on the grate the way it used to, and the large puddle I observed after this afternoon’s thunderstorm was draining only slowly. Water coming up from this area is staying on the street drainage. It seems to be worse since the crews recently came through to install fiber. I see multiple reports on this issue have been made but there's water there now that could be tested.

The ditch between my driveway and the adjoining driveway is clogged with dirt and debris that I want removed. I can do it, but I don't want to encroach on a neighbor's land or the City of Bloomington land without permission. the ditch is not on the pavement but may lie within the City's right-of-way, and I may need your permission or guidance to clear the drainage ditch and empty the culvert underneath my driveway. Is University Street an easement or a fee title? We also have a dead ash tree a yard from the pavement on the lot line, probably due to the Asian emerald ash borer, an invasive pest, and I have other live ash trees that I would protect. What are the rules for removing the hazard tree?

City pick up truck with light blue plate 63998 turned right on red from east bound atwater to south bound woodlawn. People were in and approaching the crosswalk to cross atwater. Happened at about 9:28AM, July 18th, driver looked like a female with brown-ish hair.

All of the storm sewers along Hillside De that I ran past this morning between Moores Pike and Henderson were very clogged with debris and mud. You could barely see where they were besides the excess sticks, leaves, and mud buildup. Often times our neighborhood drains (Sycamore Knolls) are similar after a big storm.

Right in the middle of the intersection of 7th/Grant is a metal plate that is damaged and dangerous. It is not as big as a sewer manhole or even a water-meter cover. It is about 7" in diameter and appears to have been painted bright blue, but the entire center of the plate is missing, leaving a hole that one could step into and twist an ankle or a small animal could fall in there and not be able to escape. We called the City Streets department about this awhile back and made a verbal report, but nothing has been done about this. That was probably a month ago.

Drain line Backing up in house, while in past you have said our drain lines are seperate from street drains, our yards drains, drain into the house drains so which system do they drain too? asI'm backed up once again.
