Hi,
First, thank you for removing the leaves from Park Ridge Park, the excellent park in the Park Ridge neighborhood, in April. Now, it seems like it is in need of a little bit of post-winter care. The areas where the leaves laid overwinter have become bare (see the picture). This is a spot that the Parks Department has worked hard trying to recover before and I suppose it is time work on it again. There are also other bare spots in the park where leaves had laid over winter (by the shelter - to the east) and for some unknown reason to the south of the swings. Could these areas please be addressed with grass seed and straw to make sure that park stays maintainable, that the structures don't end being compromised by erosion, and to make the park less of a mess after a rain? Also, the mulch covering the area underneath the playground structure may need refilled, in particular underneath the swings.
Finally, is there a regular schedule under which these aspects of the park(s) get addressed? I am sure there are priorities and limited resources. We do not want to bother the department - if we knew that this maintenance would be done (based on a known schedule), then we would only have the thank yous to include instead of a thank you and a request.
Thanks again.

The drilling contractors on 10th Street near Barrington Place and Woodbridge Apartments appears to have left potentially hazardous items on the ground. At the very least, these items constitute unsightly and unwanted litter. At worst, the items could be leaking in an area that ultimately drains to Griffy Lake via a nearby stream located downslope.

To whom it may concern,
I am a concerned citizen and tax payer that would like to bring up an issue and question pertaining to the road construction in Bloomington, IN. In particular, my query pertains to the construction drums/barrels that are located on State road 46/45 between North Walnut street and Ellettsville, IN. I would like to know why there has been construction drums/barrels spanning this location for 3-4 weeks now, at least, with no construction working at this location. I drive home every day around 2-3pm and have not once seen construction crew at this location working since the drums went up. There have been crew work on a light down by Kinser/46/45 the last couple of days, but if this is the case i don't see why construction barrels are running to Elletsville. These construction barrels are blocking off a whole lane of traffic causing uneeded delays in travel using one if not the busiest road in Bloomington. I understand there may be scheduling conflicts with getting road crew etc out but to block miles of road with no one working on the road for weeks/months is uncalled for and does nothing but hurt the people that travel the road which consequently are the same people that paid for it. I don't think its unreasonable for an explanation. I don't understand why you would inconvenience people and shut down half the road for miles when quiet literally no one is working on the road. It seems a better solution would be to keep the road free until you are ready to start working on it, then place the drums. I look forward to hearing back on this issue and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Dustin Headley

Status says case #168693 is closed yet this semi continues to block traffic by parking on the wrong side of the road as we as blocking city bus stop. Approximately 7:30 am Tuesdays. Very dangerous. Manager of stores does not understand why truck does not use lot as they used to do. I have lived on Lincoln and driven by this location for 6 years, this has just started in the last month or so.

Hi! I’m a bit confused about this charge on my account and am not completely sure who to contact. I paid the meter for one hour to get hartzels ice cream (as seen on the charges) but I never paid for $8 (or 8 hours). This is clearly an incorrect charge because I got ice cream at 6 PM and the meters end at 9 therefore I am even unable to add that much money to a meter. If I could please get a refund for the $8 charge I would really appreciate it since i didn’t even use it!

Please forward this to Mayor Hamilton.
Dear Mayor Hamilton,
I would like to urge the city and the county to adopt a 1% for the arts for the new Convention Center. The arts are one of the strong attractions of Bloomington and Monroe County. Let's put that up front and on display at the Convention Center.
Sincerely,
Paul Smedberg
