Hi there,
I have a question regarding parking options. I am having a roughly fifty-person wedding ceremony/reception on the square on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend (9/1/2019), and many guests are coming from out of town for the low-key evening celebration. I am having a hard time working out parking. I realize street parking will be free that day, but in case it's crowded downtown for the holiday weekend, ideally I'd like for guests to be able to use the Morton parking garage and walk over. But I also don't want them to have to pay for parking themselves. In lieu of my giving each guest cash as they leave to pay for parking, is there any way I can, for example, pay for one-day permits for them ahead of time?
I realize this is nonstandard, but I would so appreciate any tips or recommendations you may have.
Thank you for your help!
Rita

I am looking to purchase a street parking pass for 2019-2020 school year. I am a student living on S. Fess. Our landlord has informed us that we will need to contact the city to acquire these passes. any information you can provide would be much appreciated!

The changes to the Zone 4 parking permits for MCPL staff is a disgraceful lapse of judgement. The city MUST offer alternative parking options for hardworking public servants commuting to the downtown area. If it is too much work to discover a reasonable accommodation then you must relent and return the permits to the MCPL Human Resources department to disseminate amongst staff who need them. To serve the public we have to get to where we serve the public reliably. In the winter, in the rain, in record-breaking heat, and especially during the university's academic year when downtown parking is at its scarcest. To be treated like a problem that will scuttle away in the name of making a little more money on parking meters is folly compounded by blatant cruelty.

This car has been parked in front of our house for a month. It is leaking oil and has a flat tire and no residential permit. We would like it moved. 404 S Lincoln St.

This car has been parked in front of my house for over a month. It is leaking oil and has a flat tire and no residential permit. I called parking enforcement early in September after the car had been there over 2 weeks. I reported it via this website last Saturday. It now has 4 tickets on it but it's still there. How can I get it removed?

The owner of this car has a private parking space on the 500 block of West Smith Avenue. (Not sure of the house number. Sorry.) As you can see, he is not within the lines. Smith Ave. is a narrow street and said 'outside the lines' parking makes it difficult for UPS/USPS, emergency, and construction vehicles to pass through easily. I've spoken to him "in-person" to politely remind him to not park in the middle of the street. Would a ticket with a fine attached get his attention? I hope so. He doesn't seem to be moved to change his parking behavior by kind yet direct words from a concerned neighbor.

This vehicle routinely parks on the handicap ramp near the county/IU offices at the City Hall complex. The one next to it also didn't appear to have pertinent plates or a pass today. Are these not handicap spots? I noticed there was not a pole and placard like on other handicap accessible spots in the lot. But even if not handicap spots (though blue lines and paint markings should be removed) it still isn't even a spot at all but instead an access ramp.

In the 400 block of Eastside Drive, next to house #500, on the north side of the hunter footpath: several (inoperable?) vehicles parked on the grass. This looks like a true junk yard to us.
