There is a green sedan that has been sitting abandoned and vandalized on Pine street between Kirkwood and 6th for many months. It ought to be towed.
went downtown to shop for the holidays. Was late to the meter by 5 minutes. got a $20 ticket. Goodbye downtown. Hello amazon. Cheaper, easier, and they don't give these outrageous fines. Thought you might want to know. I am sending a letter to the Book Corner, and another to Goods for Cooks, to let them know they will never see me again. Not a great idea on your part, if you asked me. For the sake of downtown and these businesses, I hope I am wrong. But I doubt it.
Citation # Q1500545: I put my credit card into the wrong meter (chose the one facing my parking slot) & didn't realize I had to use Meter/Space Number 102B (because it was facing the other way). When I came out of Samira Restaurant, I still had 16' of unexpired time (in the "wrong" meter). I hope you will understand that I actually did pay for my parking space. Thank you
The ‘no parking’ zones were recently repainted for street parking off 8th and Indiana. It seems that the no parking designated zone was extended 3-5 feet. Was there a reason for this? Now, there is even more limited street parking, and it’s going to be a warzone when the rest of the students move in come August.
There is a vehicle that parks on the sidewalk at this location almost daily, preventing bike and foot traffic from utilizing the sidewalk.
We received a parking citation used debit card and put it on the wrong side. My wife called and explained to parking department and informed they can check the meter by computer and see if our debit card was used at that time? My wife also submitted debit card picture where it was paid and amount. Informed to file an appeal and it can be checked. A few days later received email appeal denied? We paid the fine but apparently nothing was checked? Maybe bad information? Thanks for listening Mike
This handicap meter is blocked by a bike rack that makes it difficult to pay the meter.
I received a notice in the mail of an overdue parking citation. It had been issued on 6/20/24 and the notice said that I had failed to pay it within 14 days, so the fine was now doubled. However, I never saw the parking ticket on my car, and I never received any other notice that I had received a ticket. I do not think that this is a fair system, as parking tickets left on cars can be tampered with by other people. I have paid this parking ticket, but I'd like you to look into this policy and consider changing it so that there is some way to ensure that the person receiving a ticket actually sees it in time to pay it before it is doubled. My report on parking ticket processes was closed but not resolved. My request was to look into the PROCESS not get the same information that I got before (photo of ticket on my car).
