Re: Non-inclusive equipment at Griffy Lake- Hello, I am an avid Kayaker and was excited to learn of Griffy's addition of 6 kayaks. My husband and I had visited several times and enjoyed the canoes (there were never kayaks available) and were glowing with praise for our new favorite lake. (photo attached).
My excitement soon turned to bitter disappointment, and at this point I have no desire to return to Griffy.
My husband and I rented a car to visit, only to be turned away (after the woman behind the counter looked me up and down) for being too large to ride.
The kayaks at Griffy are the smallest size made with the lowest weight limit on the market. This is not inclusive. I urge you to consider adding a larger models that accommodate adult kayakers. This would better serve the community and prevent others from having this embarrassing, expensive, and horribly negative experience.
Thank you for your consideration.

Kitty Robinson and myself have a total of 4 raised garden plots. We are unable to take care of them so if the food bank group wants to go see if there is anything they can get they are more than welcome to it. There might still be tomatoes.

Hi,
Is Hilltop still a part of the Bloomingto Parks and Rec. Department? Visited recently and was really surprised to see how far the program has drifted from its original mission as a youth gardening program. With the money provided by Dr. Shalucha and the funds raised for the new gardening house and greenhouses, I feel that the youth gardening program should be the major focus of the garden and not a free family gardening spot. Any way to bring the original Hilltop back? Mary Hursh

Hello. We've been enjoying Ferguson Dog Park with our one-year-old puppy. Thank you! It's a good crowd of dogs (and owners) and, with our tiny yard in Elm Heights, it's been a wonderful place to let Teddy run around. In talking with my many dog-owning/dog-walking/tiny-yard neighbors, we have wondered if it would be possible to have an area of Bryan Park fenced off for dogs. I'm sure cost would be an issue but perhaps Bloomington residents could contribute matching funds? Besides cost, are there other prohibitive restrictions that would make a dog area an impossibility? Thank you for your time. Best, Cate Racek

Who would I contact about working with the Movies in the Park program for 2016? I am an archivist at the Black Film Center/Archive at IU and our staff is interested in learning more about how we could become involved with the city to program a film featuring African American artists. Is there an official proposal form or guidelines?
Thanks!
