Tree down on western part of B line.
Tree down on western part of B line.
Trash everywhere. Appears to be the remnants of an encampment but nothing has been done to remove/remediate the trash for the last 6 months.
There is an encampment that is not continuously used. It was occupied in the spring of 2024 before the removal of the encampments and the bush hogging of the vegetation to increase sight lines along the B line. Then it became active again during the winter, but now it looks unoccupied again. It seems to be active on and off because the debris and the structure that forms a shelter still remains. Can the encampment be removed to prevent future occupancy of this area?
See case #201753, among others. At what point can you stop citing the company that owns the land around the B Line for trash removal (believe it's the car dealership) and just... clean it up? and charge them for it? Because I've now reported this pile of trash/former camp at least 4 times in the last six months and not a single thing has happened to clean it up. The property owner doesn't care until it costs them money. Make it cost them money, please.
I submitted an erosion/drainage issue behind my house (2201 E. Autumn Dr. Bloomington IN 47401). Someone from City called and left a message for me saying that it is on private property therefore City will not take care of it. I showed it to several other folks and in their opinion, it is City's responsibility since the rainwater pipe is the one causing the damage. I am not sure if your site visitors went to the location to verify this. The rain water from the entire neighborhood comes through this pipe and ends in the creek. I am attaching a picture with this form so that you can take a look at it.If the site visitor wants to visit again, this is happening in between (the back of ) houses 2201 and 2200.
I believe the actual address is 300-308 Jefferson Street. A perfect example of how progress ruins a neighborhood. The lack of property management control and improper zoning along with immature and uncooperative tenants is already an eyesore and poster child for stopping further development of this ilk in Green Acres. Trash in yard, bins left by the street more than 24 hr after pickup, burn mark from open fire (previously reported and remedied). I didn't get a picture of the offensive banner displayed from an upper story window, but I will, should it reappear. Please take the appropriate action to the fullest extent possible.
Not graffiti, but an offensive banner at the new Brawley complex on E 7th Street. Not getting good vibes from our new Green Acre neighbors.
They are leaving trash and debris all over the yard and creating mounds of trash in the yard
There are several street lights in the vicinity of the Baptist Church (maybe the name has changed) which is near the intersection of Woodscrest and 3rd Street that are not working. Could 3rd street in that area be driven at night to take a total tally of the lights that are out between High Street and College Mall Road? There are also lights out near the Catholic Church which is nearer to High Street. If you would like to contact me please email or call.
There are two deep potholes on the downhill entrance to Cascades Park. Lots of bicycles go down this hill at a high rate of speed. This is a very bad place for two deep potholes. Since they could cause a serious accident they should be taken care of as soon as possible. Here is the location on Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=39.188856,-86.534301&z=17&t=h&output=classic
