Question about Ureport #192595 - Report issues with Lime scooters: "A red-green Lime bike has been parked for more than a week now in the street across from 824 S Sheridan Drive, close to the intersection of E First Street." Please clarify if a rental e-bike parked curbside on a public street in a neighborhood is permissible use under city standards. It is parked on public property that does not block the right-of-way, limit access for individuals with disabilities, risk damaging private or public property, or jeopardize public safety. It is also parked in the same manner that a car is permitted to park by the curb.
Abandoned Lime scooter on Wiltshire Ct. in Park Ridge East. It's been leaning against a neighbor's fence for months.
There is an abandoned e-bike (blue in color) that is located on the grass/sidewalk across the South Highland/Willie Streeter Community Gardens. This e-bike has been there for over a month. Who is responsible for moving these to a proper location? What a mess.
City webpages: Your U-Report lists Bird, Lime and VeoRide scooters - "click here for problems, etc." - isn't Bird the only scooter company still licensed? Also, when you look for other scooter info, it shows a YouTube video with a Veo scooter and lists all three companies - Web pages need updated!
This road has zero sidewalks and no street lamps. Walking pets or even just walking at night to go from 6th to 7th is dangerous. There are a lot of aged trees, so moonlight does not shine through (unless winter). As someone who has lived in the neighborhood for 7 years, I find it scary to walk down this area without proper light.
The street light south of aforementioned address is either very dim or just broken. Since that light is out of commission, all of Indiana Ave is poorly lit and deemed unsafe.
street lights by old courthouse building downtown in disrepair. Spoke to a City employee (Montell Large) that referred me to this site. Apparently a Chris Smith is responsible for these requests. Please let Mr. Smith know that Montell referred me to him and that these lights are hanging by a thread and need to be fully replaced in order for public safety.
