There are numerous close calls and way too many accidents at this intersection because cars on Grant aren't aware that cross-traffic on 9th doesn't stop. There was an accident this afternoon and luckily everyone was fine, but I believe it could have been avoided if the city put up a little "Cross Traffic Does Not Stop" sign below the stop signs on Grant. Just a suggestion for the next time any work is planned for Grant Street: At the intersections with both 8th and 9th streets, there are some storm sewer grates alongside the road that are too accessible, in that their design is completely open, with only a single metal bar across the openings. This allows animals and large pieces of trash to flow into the storm sewers. All the other grates in the neighborhood are more enclosed and safer. Might be good to switch these old ones out with ones that are similar to all the others and safer. Even a very small child might be able to fit into a couple of them, because the cross-bar on some of them is bent so much.
The pedestrian crosswalk buttons are not working properly at the intersection of 10th & Jordan this morning. In particular, the westbound crossing button on the southeast corner did not activate the pedestrian crossing light through several cycles at approx. 9:10am. I didn't confirm, but it looked like other buttons/directions were having similar problems. Was working fine yesterday.
None of the pedestrian crossing buttons have been working at the intersection of 10th and Jordan today. There is no way to activate the pedestrian signals.
10th and Jordan intersection: Westbound pedestrian crossing button on SE corner and northbound crossing button on SW corner are not working - red light above button remains on and walk signal is not activated. Problem has been happening for at least a week or so.
Delivery truck blocking all accessible spots and ramp in north showers parking lot. Lady in wheelchair unable to park in accessible spots and then once parking somewhere else, unable to use ramp because of truck. Has been there for about 2.5 hours
Black truck parked on in handicapped spot and on sidewalk blocking handicap ramp .no one wants to say anything to occupant because he's a parking enforcement officer. But the sidewalk and ramped are blocked .
The HVAC system by the northernmost entrance of the Showers Building is painfully loud. I hope a fix is being prioritized, because even from the sidewalk, it's extremely bothersome. Many concerns by County field staff who frequently use that entrance. Thank you!
This HVAC unit associated with the City Showers Building offices is a nusiance. I clocked the sound levels at 88 decibels. I made a similar complaint about a month ago. The screeching noise just keeps coming back. I can hear it in my office even. Please find the funding to do a proper ungrade to this system. I cringe when I leave my office building.
