Outdoor clock is not working.
Fiber-optic people bored a hole through the street, then filled it up with gravel instead of asphalt. Now, the gravel has washed away and there is a hole that someone could step in and trip. It is close to the scooter corral on the SW corner of Grant/Cottage Grove.
Recently, the City has redone the intersections along East Cottage Grove to make the corners ADA-compliant. Unfortunately, the jobs were not completed. The installations of the warning plates are fine, but the street surfaces flanking them are not. The streets are all eaten up with deep, sharp gullies on each side of every installation at each corner of all four streets involved (Washington, Lincoln, Grant, and Dunn) where they cut through the concrete to prepare for the work. Also, the bit of asphalt applied to the corners afterwards was just mounded up and left bumpy and difficult for chairs (and walkers!) to navigate. Right now, all intersections are far more dangerous than they were before the project started, and if left in this condition will only get worse when debris, leaves, snow and ice begin to accumulate, and the rate of street degradation will intensify.
See case #204982. Response was dismissive. "..will be compliant when paving is completed..". *When* will that happen? This year? The areas surrounding the ramps are DANGEROUS, especially at Grant/Cottage Grove. Why start a project if it cannot be completed at the time?
Have been dealing with water issue on Grant & Kirkwood sidewalk. It appears it’s coming from below ground and would like to meet on-site with someone from city utilities that can help resolve this issue. It’s particularly a problem when temps fall below freezing. Thank you.
The plant holder on the southwest corner next to the light post is broken and a section of the cement fell off completely.
Polly-Grimshaw trail/path and N Pete Ellis Rd intersection used to have a sign in the middle of this CrossWalk that read: "state law - cars must stop for pedestrians". That sign is gone and poses a fatal error for pedestrians using the bike/ped path called "polly grimshaw trail". With the influx of new drivers every Fall into this Town, I feel that we must have more definitive-traffic-pedestrian warnings. tx
Another dead rat. I am a 63 year resident at this address and only in the last five years have rats began appearing. Open composting by some neighbors has been a long time habit Ross Gay 316 S. Buckner is one loving the overgrowth same person owns the property behind me also with chickens it’s a rental overgrowth problem there I am a yearly complainer on that Davisson street address. I’m going to guess my outdoor cat fixed chipped and so forth brought this in the cat house. I’ve been finding two and three every year dead near my house where you see one rat I’m sure there is a whole colony somewhere. Would appreciate it if the city could check out this area of prospect Hill I’ve heard from other neighbors about the dead rat problem, and a few have saw the live ones. People also stack their firewood on the ground, giving them a nice little place to borrow under and build their colonies. I would appreciate hearing from someone soon about this. I consider this a health hazard.
