Mayo has installed a new post ( pole ) on my property at the corner of Brownridge and Fieldcrest in Hoosier acres. They did extensive digging around the area and were supposed to reseed, since I had my lawn completely reseeded this last fall. This has not been done and there is a muddy mess at the corner. Moreover holes were made at various places on the lawn and these were never filled in. This is a hazard in mowing or just walking on the lawn. If someone catches there foot in the hole it could result in a broken leg or twisted ankle. Mayo or the city would then be responsible.
There are little flags all over the lawn, which needs to be mowed. Should I just remove these ?. Is the work completed ?
On the pole there is a street lamp to replace the one currently at the corner, but neither is working, which is another hazard. The ditch in the area has also collapsed. I believe it is Zayos obligation to fix this, or someone ( the city of Bloomington ) should.

When it rains, the run off comes down my driveway off of High street and the parallel sidewalk and runs down my driveway pooling in front of my garage door and in turn enters my house. This will occur during a rainfall of 0.5 inch or more. Would it be possible to look at the drains on High street or add one at the top of the hill to divert water away from my driveway?

Dear City of Bloomington Representative,
Last night’s torrential rain brought a lot of water down our driveway from the street, some of which eventually ended up in our finished basement. We've lived at this address since 2009, and this has been a problem we've lived with since then. We’ve spent almost $15,000 on waterproofing our basement, installing storm drains at the bottom of our driveway, halfway down our driveway, and installing a berm on top of the driveway. Still, water that runs down the Anita Street takes a hard right into our driveway and overwhelms our systems. Anita Street slopes south to north, after it has turned from the east to west slope of East 2nd street. We believe a majority of the water coming down Anita Street actually ends up in our driveway. A lot of the water from the street also collects in the yard of our neighbor, Allyson Youat Schnable. Water that has come into our basement has damaged equipment, furniture, boxes and their contents, and is a threat to our foundation.
I believe we have exhausted our options to comprehensively deal with the amount of storm water that is presented to us. We would love for the city to address the water coming down the street. I would be thrilled to talk to a city official about this problem.
Many thanks,
Maarten Bout

Our store at 512 S College Mall Road is being flooded out by water runoff that comes over the retaining wall behind the store. The water is runoff from our neighbors parking lot...a housing division.

We are experiencing a major storm water runoff problem on our property. It has become so bad that our driveway collapsed. We have also lost some trees and fear losing additional trees. In addition, a lot of trash is accompanies that large volume of water and settles on our property in what is now a muddy swamp. I think we need to work with the churches to the east of us who have huge parking lots to address the water runoff problem that is becoming worse all the time. Thank you in advance for addressing this problem.

Mayor Hamilton
I know your not in charge of I--69 but I work
at Monroe Hospital and the intersection and overpass
being built is taking far more time than it should.
Some rumors I have heard its Political was the reason
for it not getting done. The light was taken down at
Vernal Pike and the over pass near there already done.
I also feel I-69 should of been done in each section
being done one at a time.
Also there are so many roads in Bloomington that
needs address---like Leonard Springs Rd its awful
I have to drive it and I really feel for all the bus
drivers--which I know is just one of many.
Please don't let I-69 take away from fixing much
needed other roads.
Also Bloomington was once a great Manufacturing
city ---we need more of those ---I don't like the fact
that just like RCA--and Otis and now GE--are things of
the past and putting government money to up keep
those places and shut them down is totally not right.
We are tax payers and were getting ripped off.
I know this letter probably won't matter.
Thanks for listening
Jennifer
