The yew bushes on the north side of the house on Falcon Drive/Gordon Pike not only are blocking half the sidewalk, but also are blocking the line of site when traveling north on Falcon Drive and approaching Gordon Pike. You cannot see vehicles approaching the intersection that are coming from Wickens St.
There was evidence that someone is trying to live in the woods on the northern section of the NL trail at Griffy Lake. I hiked parked of this trail 8/26/16 and saw what seemed to be the beginnings of a make shift shelter as well as various Styrofoam to go containers scattered throughout this part of the trail. There was a man who was clearly not on a recreational hike on the NL trail who we saw multiple times before we decided to turn back and head towards the NS trail. The man had long brown hair, was clearly dirty and smelled strongly. He was young (less than 40 years old). We saw him several times on different parts of the NL trail and it was clear he was not hiking the trail in a linear fashion (possibly going of trail to cut to a different part?). The presence of this man plus the food containers/shelter seemed very suspicious and VERY unsafe for recreational hikers. Please have someone take a look out there to clean up the trash/take down the shelter. I have a attached an image marking the location of the food/shelter. when going east on 3rd st, after smith road you cant hardley turn in to edwards square, across from office lounge. traffic heading towards you from the east and traffic coming from behind you is dangerous. because theres no turn lane there. its a busy road, and is a real proble. i work in edwards square and we hear constant worries about it. it really needs to be adressed. thanks. if you have any questions you can call me at 812 -272-8721. thanks mr hiestand
The curbs and speed humps on E Morningside appear to have been abandoned after the installation contract was completed. The first ones near E Saratoga and others are overgrown with weeds. It's not a pleasing sight for making a first impression near the entry to the Park Ridge East neighborhood. Residents seem to have not accepted an involuntary expansion of their lawn maintenance responsibility into the right of way on a busy street. Similar curbs near the park at the Park Ridge Road intersection are being maintained, maybe by city crews. Similar attention by the city for the other curb bump outs would be appreciated. An alternate remedy would be to cover the area of the bump outs with stone or other low maintenance materials that would reduce the recurring cost of cutting grass and weeds. A small tree planted in a bump out curb on the north side of E Morningside had its bark stripped off and branches broken last month, possibly by deer. Apparently trees were selected for planting without considering whether they have a natural resistance to deer. The tree had no protection from deer.
Can we please get some traffic calming measures added to sheffield drive between Morningside and Park Ridge Rd? With the added morningside calming measures Sheffield has become a drag strip for individuals to get to the back of the neighborhood. Children at play signs, etc. are not helping. Any chance for enhanced enforcment and ticket citations?
My water meter shows that I may have a leak. I would like someone to come and see if it is between my house and the meter or the meter and the road.
There are multiple potholes on Stapleton Ave and the road is deteriorating along the sides. There are harsh bumps when turning from Stapleton to Leonard Springs.
Please add a deer- crossing sign at the sharp curve on Old State Road 37. Cars speeding down the hill may not know how frequently deer run deer are present.
Mountains of trash have accumulated along the trail behind my back yard.
All of Brummetts Creek Road is covered in large potholes, some on dangerous blind curves
