City says lawn is not yet 8". I measured and it is >12". This property owner neglects the property and should be fined until he learns to regularly cut his lawn.
I received a follow up call from a HAND inspector on August 17 regarding overgrowth behind the new apartment complex at 714 North Walnut. She indicated that the project manager would have the overgrowth cleaned up possibly by the end of the week. It's now almost 2 weeks later and this area still hasn't been cleaned up.
We live at 1029 S. Dunn Street and the area around the perimeter of our home on the corner of Davis and Dunn is overgrown and covering speed limit signs and access to the fire hydrant. I was hoping that the City could help cut this back as we do not have the equipment to do so. Thanks!
Street light at corner of Forrester and E. Daniel has been out for about 3 weeks. Numbers on the pole are 767 and 779.
Intersection of 200 South Clark and E 4th street has a giant hole in the middle of the road. I hit this early Sunday morning traveling the speed limit and bent my rim, broke a band in my tire, and split my wheel cover. There are no warning signs for this utility cut. $200 damage, please advise
there is a tree branch, still attached to teh tree, that is hanging over the street in front of 923 E. University St. Was not usre this is the right category for this report, but the branch needs to be cut.
Dear HAND Staff, I did not mean for this to be a complaint against our neighbor. I believe perhaps the city is responsibly for trees in the tree plot at the street. I did not know where this fit into the UReport categories, as I said in my notes. Please forward this to the proper department at the city and NOT to the homeowner. Thank you, Annamaria Mecca
I drive for Uber/Lyft in Bloomington. The number of stop signs that I have noticed that are blocked or partially blocked by foliage is approximately one in very ten. I stop at roughly 500 of these signs per 9 hour shift ant it is dangerous. Also the smaller alleys have so much over growth that they scratch the side of the vehicles. Does Bloomington not have a forestry division with a chainsaw or two to fix both these hazards.
W. Dodds from College to Rogers is horrific. Its so rough its possible to loose control after the pedestrian crossing heading west. It is really chopped up and needs resurfaced as it is heavily traveled.
