Yesterday I visited the playground at Winslow Woods Park with my son. The playground space is in dire need of repair. The rubber flooring is patchy, worn, and disintegrating, creating trip hazards. The climbing jungle gym is rusty, with peeling paint and worn plastic. It does not seem structurally unstable, but could use at least some sanding and repainting to make it safer for young children.
My experiences at other city parks and playgrounds have all been wonderful, so this seems out of character. I'd be interested to know if there is a barrier to repair/replacement of equipment at this park, if it is slated for removal, or if there is anything I can do as a resident to help advocate for its upkeep. We love to visit our parks and appreciate all the good work the Parks Department does for our community!

Could you please tell me where I can find the pdfs listed on page 39 of the Switchyard Park Master Plan? For example, I would like to access this report: https://bloomington.in.gov/media/media/application/pdf/57.pdf. It appears to be no longer available, and nor do others on the page.
Thank you.

Push Place looks like it hasn't had any maintenance since it was created in 1990. It's rusting and the ground covering is disintegrating. I tried looking in the Parks and Rec master plan to see whether there were any plans to upgrade it. But that plan is almost unreadable. When you zoom in to enlarge the letters, you can only see the middle of each of the displayed pages. You say it's a community park, but it doesn't get the kind of attention that other community parks get. This is two complaints: 1) about the condition of the playground and 2) about the condition of your web site.

To whom it may concern,
Hello, My name is John Rodriguez. I'm a student from Mount Pleasant High School in Northeast Texas. For our Engineering Program, a couple of students and I, have been aiming to place a concrete slides in one of our local parks. We've contacted a manufacturer and asked for a list of previous customers who own one similar to the one we are considering. Thus I am here with an inquiry.
I was wondering if you could give me a direct contact (Email or Phone Number), to someone in the parks department or someone who would know information, pertaining to your concrete slide, particularly things like maintenance and operation.
We are compiling a list of comments and reviews for the embankment concrete slide so we can present it to our city for better consideration from them. We would greatly appreciate your assistance
Sincerely,
John G. Rodriguez

I'd like to address that there is severe mold issues on the pickleball and tennis courts at RCA park. The black mildew/mold issue has caused numerous instances with pickleball play and tennis play becoming a safety issue due to how slippery the surface get's. Many people have been slipping lately because the mold creates a very slippery surface. I'd like to suggest and request that someone comes to take a look at the issues near the back of the courts towards the woods. It would be greatly appreciated if the courts could be pressure washed off and the mold removed. Please feel free to contact me via my email provided for any further questions or dispositions. Thank you!

Can we get a second picnic table for the park ridge East Park shelter? One is lonely and there's definitely room for a second smaller one.

Regarding Building and Trades Park:
The steps leading from the upper part of the park to the playing field, dog walking area, etc., are in bad repair. In addition to problems with the steps themselves, a hand rail (simple pipe construction would be perfectly adequate) is needed, especially for little ones and most older park users.

There are currently no no-smoking signs in the Upper Cascades park. My wife and I were there with our 1 year old daughter last Monday or Tuesday, and were unable to use the swings as two childless adults were smoking on the swing set and declined to move. Can prominent signage be placed to indicate the park/park system is smoke free? I would also update the park rules to be more layman friendly, as they primarily reference federal, state, and city codes (found here https://bloomington.in.gov/documents/viewDocument.php?document_id=7722).
Thank you.
