Car AGAIN parked in the grass. City addressed this earlier this year. They know better. Please contact them to remove. Not a good "entry" to the neighborhood look.

Oops. Address is 3901 E Morningside Drive.

4011 E Morningside has been vacant for nearly two years. They mow but some of the weeds are getting pretty intense. Biggest thing is can you ask whoever the owner is (not sure where they live) to move the never used old recycling and trash can in drive to a nonvisible location. Are trash now. Ideally the new carts too since never used anymore. But the old ones at least should not be sitting in the drive forever.
Animal Control & Neglected Pets

I would like to compliment the Animal Control department for a job well done. I live in College Mall Apts. on E. 2nd St. near the Mall. There was a clearly injured rabbit hunched down at the play ground area for over 8 hrs that wouldn't move even when approached. The shoulder of the rabbit seemed dislocated and I was afraid a child would try to pick it up, causing severe pain to the animal who would seriously claw or bite the child. I decided to call Animal Control and an officer was sent out who arrived quickly and did a thorough search of the playground area. What we saw when she arrived was one rabbit, somewhat unafraid of human proximity, but hopping around in a reasonably normal fashion. The spot was clear where the injured rabbit had been sitting. Apparently what happened was the rabbit managed, after hours of painful effort, to nudge its shoulder joint back into place, and was just trying things out again as the officer arrived. No way to anticipate that happening. Having the Animal Control officers respond to these situations that may seem innocuous is the right policy. Things could easily have turned out differently and the officer's response could have saved a serious injury to a child, as this occurred exactly at the playground area of College Mall Apts. In a wildlife friendly town like ours, human-animal interactions are very common, and children don't always show the proper caution. Many thanks to that officer and the City. Job well done.

Those scooters are a blight on the City. People just dump them anywhere. Get rid of them now. Do it before some dumbass gets killed because the riders are clueless about how to use them.
AND KEEP THEM OFF THE SIDEWALKS. They are a motor vehicle.

I read an article that stated Bloomington doesn't plan on any new regulations for the scooters. I know this, if these students , as most of the riders I have observed are, keep going there will be problems. I have observed countless scooters on the sidewalks and I a becoming very irritated with the attitude of riders expecting the pedestrians to move aside so they can pass. I think the city needs to have police ticket a few of these riders so they might quit doing it. I personally refuse to move out of their way, as I should not have to. I also see them riding down the B-line, which isn't AS bad, but still is not a good thing. I believe if they are allowed to do this, then I should be allowed to ride my motorcycle on the sidewalks and B-line. Which I might do to make a point. $20 dollar fine might be worth it.
Your attention to this matter is appreciated. AND it might be required in the near future. It's a public safety issue in my eyes.
Thank you

Could you please install a painted crosswalk at 3rd and E Grant? 3rd is very high traffic and as cars come around the corner heading west, it makes for a dangerous crossing for pedestrians who are given no right-of-way.
Blocked Street
503 N Rogers ST

This morning at approximately 8:05AM on October 18, 2018 a guy driving a delivery truck bed full of materials decides to stop at 10th and Rogers with no indication and causes a full stop for myself and a city block full of cars stuck. Rogers is a one way street at this point and because of the height of the truck, we cannot see if traffic is coming down the other way to pass around the truck. After sitting in my car for over 5 minutes and watching the truck driver run out to the construction site with no indication of when he's coming back, I rolled down my window to ask a nearby construction driver if someone can come direct traffic. I realize that's not his job but he didn't even dignify my question with a response. This is frustrating because despite all the delayed construction projects at the city, county and state level, the City has usually been pretty good about these types of things. If this is going to happen again, someone needs to be directing one way traffic flow. Also, I thought this 10th street corridor between Rogers and Morton was also supposed to be open by October 15th but now I see the information is gone from the city website.
