A couple of weeks ago, the city (I assume it was the city) cut down a large tree along High Street, a short distance north of Hillside. They left these logs perched precariously on a bank, where it looks as if they are in danger of tumbling into the street, in the path of some unsuspecting motorist. I assumed they'd be safely cleared away quickly, but a couple of weeks have gone by and they're still there.

In the parking lot on the north side of the Showers building there are trucks blocking the handicap parking spaces and ramp as well as most of the 2 hour spots. There are no city signs warning people that the spots are closed. A handicapped visitor with a wheelchair is unable to park unless they park in a red lot space and risk getting a ticket but even if they do park there, they can't access the building since the ramp is blocked.
Hello: I was in communication with Christina Smith last fall regarding a street light that needs to be installed on S. Fess Ave. Preferably 821 S. Fess Ave., as that is the middle of the block. The 800 block of S. Fess is totally pitch black, unless there is a full moon. I'm not sure why this completely dark street, with two homebound senior citizens living on it (my neighbors), hasn't become a priority for a street light. Please consider taking care of this soon. Fess Avenue. Each year, we install street lights within the public right of way on a petition base and available funding. I have placed your request area on are list for future consideration. At this time, we have quite an extensive list, therefore, it cannot predict when the light will be installed. Best, Christina
Dear Parks and Rec, Thanks for getting new pool lounge chairs at Bryan Park Pool! The other moms and I were just about over the broken old ones. Hopefully these new ones will last longer than the previous ones, which were almost always broken. The new ones have a better design. At high traffic times, I noted that people were still wandering around to find somewhere to sit or lay. Perhaps ordering a dozen more would be a good idea. Additionally, though people can certainly bring their own lawn chairs, I think it would be a good idea to have a dozen regular plastic chairs available for people who cannot sit comfortably on the low-to-the-ground pool lounge chairs. Stoplight may show green to both east bound and south bound at the same time. Unless cars are running solid red lights.
I am the homeowner at 3817 S Woods Edge Bend. Can the city repair my sidewalk? My insurance company is saying this is necessary, and I don't know how to get this done.
At 2nd and Rogers there is a big pot hole. It is on the north side of the intersection (north of the westbound lane of 2nd) and in line with the east side of the south bound Rogers left turn lane. This is a growing pot hole that looks dangerous when I go by it on my bicycle.

DO NOT MAKE MAJOR ARTERIES TWO WAY!!!!! That proposal is insane. The people that proposed it don't live here and clearly never have traveled Walnut and College when trucks are blocking two of the three lanes. Atwater and third also should not be changed as Third is a parade of buses and the only lane able to be traveled is the left one. I hope you don't pay the Toole people. Those suggestions are not feasible and will make going downtown something no one will do any more. Insanity!
