Street light is out.
In the alleyway behind 1502 E University St, a large dead tree just fell southward (away from the electric wires). Upon my request, a neighbor just moved a section that was blocking S. Swain. This clump of trees had had other sections fall in the last year and municipal or power-line workers removed sections of it but the entire cluster needs to come down since it is a hazard to those of us who walk down S. Swain. Right now the rotted dead tree is lying on the ground.
On the wall that runs along South Oakdale Drive (around the 1502 - 1508 block), that sits beneath Bloomfield Road/2nd Street, there are three areas of graffiti. They have been there for awhile and I am attempting to find out who is responsible for this. INDOT is saying that it is the City of Bloomington.
SE Corner of Hillside Dr and S. Walnut - there are household items dumped over the retaining wall blocking the sidewalks
There is a deep pothole on Atwater at the seam where it meets the parking lot entry of IU-EHS (old church) about 50 feet west of Mitchell.
This is the second year that I have noticed this issue, the roads at Atlas on 17th apartment complex are poorly plowed and not salted. Last year, a car slid and hit my parked car, today someone crashed into a pole, and I have consistently seen people sliding around the curve and up the hill. I called the apartment complex and they said it is a city issue because it is a city street. The other streets in Bloomington are perfectly plowed and salted but here there always seem to be plow and salt problems.
Olive Street needs a curb from the top of the hill going down to Hillside Dr. The street had a curb at one time, but has been broken down by snow removal and wear and tear over the years. This is causing flooding when it rains to go down into 1504 S. Olive that is having water run down along the side of the house into the foundation. Also, the water from the rains is running down the street into the residence at 1144 E. Hillside. There is a curb on Olive next to the residence at 1144 E. Hillside that needs to extend up to the top of Olive Street. If someone could please contact me and let me know if this is possible to have done. Thank you, Monica Stafford
Could someone talk to Dorchester Apartments management about cleaning up trash along their east fence? It has been their for months. Dorchester in particular seems cavalier about keeping its property presentable and it degrades the neighborhood.
Overgrown yard at the property just north of Community Kitchen on S. Rogers St.
