We were walking today on the Jackson Creek Trail & going up the hill that goes in the woods. I take my camera to get photos of wildlife. About halfway up the dirt trail, past the black top path, there is a tree located down at the creek which has a hollow hole in the base of it. I also like to take photos of tree structures. Inside the tree, it looks as though there is a trap set. Please keep my name anonymous.
Thanks, Barb

Oak tree along Cascade trail (across from dog park) could use a little attention. It's been like this for at least two months. Certain mowing crew has seen this, along with the sign they mowed over. Not certain why they have not taken the initiative to correct this...

The shrubbery along the west side of the trail around the Winslow sports complex needs to be pruned back especially in the area near the wooden bridge. It's growing halfway across the trail. The shrubbery near the south east corner of the trail might also benefit from some pruning.

Hi! There is an abandoned bike tire locked to the city's bike rack at the B-Line and Dodds in front of Hopscotch. Can you please remove it?
Thank you!

Hello.
I am a regular user of the Bloomington Rail Trail. I love the trail, however, recently the trail was altered in a way that is dangerous and less than ideal for running, walking, and biking.
The original surface was recently disturbed with new material which was applied unevenly and makes it hazardous or impossible to run and bike on. I have seen several minor accidents and suspect more are occurring. I know several in the fitness community that are unhappy with the recent changes to the trail.
I would appreciate any info on why this change was made and if there are any plans to improve the situation.
Thank you!
Craig

I'm wondering if there's been any thoughts about developing a mountain biking loop around lake griffy? I'm sure that we could get some volunteer and local business support for building and maintaining something and maybe work with the university on a mtb'ing club who could also be trail stewards. Additionally, maybe some trail connectivity through that area could enable realistic bike commuting to Marlin Elementary. I don't think anyone wants to take their child on a bike down Griffy dam hill or old 37. I would be interested in meeting with someone and getting back into public service if a champion of the idea was needed. Thanks!

I wanted to ask the city to consider re-repairing the section of the Rails to Trails trail between the roundabout near Church Lane and Country Club road.
Whoever attempted to "repair" that section several weeks ago either did not know what they were doing or did not care. I actually watched them put the initial layer of loose gravel down and it was obvious that the workers had never done that kind of thing before on a trail.
The loose gravel used to "repair" some low spots has become a "death trap" for unsuspecting bikers. I am an experienced biker and almost went down on my mountain bike.
An attempt was made to cover this loose gravel with a mixture of crushed and packed limestone, but that has become a bumpy mess.
PLEASE get someone to properly repair this section before someone is seriously injured.
