Had trouble registering for a class, Walking with Ease. The landing page gave me the option to filter, but nothing was returned (for any options). Finally tried typing the class name into the search bar, which brought up one hit, for the section of the class just ended. I tried Enroll now anyway, and this led to a different landing page. Finally, opening "Health and Wellness" revealed the class I want. Just thought you might like to know how hard it was to find this!
Large invasive weed impinging on walkway. Blocked walk is actually on 7th. Tried attaching photo.
Landscaping impinging on the walkway. See photo.
We noticed a house (601 N. Monroe) in the neighborhood has a severely overgrown front yard and back yard. Lots of yard debris and very long grass and weeds. No one appears to live there currently so we are unable to politely suggest a cleanup in person.
Vegetation is blocking half of the southbound bicycle lane, which was already too narrow.
Owner is advertising a room for rent at this address, however, it seems that the rental permit, rentpro_801, IVR 10335, has expired as of 07-16-2025. Is HAND aware of the owner's attempt to rent out a room at this address without a proper permit?
Enjoying the BSO concert at the switchyard pavilion tonight (8/24/25) and they closed the bathrooms at 8:00pm! I know the sign says closed at 8, but when an event is going on and there are 100’s of people here at the concert! Not good.
There is a cable that is attached to a couple of concrete or limestone blocks on the Westside of the old Smith Holden music store which face Morton Street just north of W. Kirkwood. There was also a large dumpster sitting a few feet to the North of the cable…the cable was very low to the ground and barely visible as it blended in with the surface beneath it…I tripped and fell (8/14) sustaining an injury and went to the Hospital Emergency room…Today (8/22), I noticed that the dumpster had been removed and the cables had what appeared to be fairly long orange horizontal noodles that had recently been placed around the cable…this injury could and should have been avoided had proper precautions been in place….I want to know who was responsible for putting these obstacles in place without proper or adequate warnings…I was told this is private property and would like to get the contact information for the present owner of the building or their representative…and hopefully insure that at least some signage can be put in place to close off access to this area so no one else is injured.
There is a hole in the driveway of this complex on the direct route from the new sidewalk across to the street. My kid tripped on it last night after dark, discovering the issue. I'm not sure if it's the responsibility of the city or the apartment complex, but it is a safety hazard for pedestrians. It goes all the way down to the culvert. Thanks.
