We live right next to Bachelor Middle School and was not awaken during the Tornado Warning by the siren that is on the roof of Bachelor MS. We have been awaken by it more than once in the past 2 years and when it goes off it is much louder than our alarm clocks so I do not believe that all 4 of us would ever sleep through it. My request is just that the functionality of the siren at Bachelor Middle School is checked. Thank you.

Hello, I live two doors down from the Banneker center. I have a request that the city, park the van either on the side street next to the center or in front of the center...I realize this is city parking and they have a right to park there. The staff park the van in front of my house and leave it there all weekend and they usually park the van directly in front of mine and my neighbor's house, while they have plenty of room on the west side of the building to park. Or possibly at the girls Club. They usually leave the van there all weekend . They usually park at at least 3 feet from the end of the yellow line. We can normally park three cars there. This effectively cuts off any accessible parking in front of my house and my neighbor's house. I don't mind the extra parking for the kids activities all during the week but this is the staff van. Hello, I live on Rogers where the road construction has been going on. While the construction so far has been annoying, it has been bearable and hasn't intruded on daily life functioning. The past two morning I have been woken at 6 am to extremely loud construction outside my window. 7 am was annoying, but bearable, but 6 am is just insanity. It wasn't even light out this morning at 6 am! I am ill and trying to recover and being woken at 6 am when I don't have to be awake for work until 8 am is just rude. Please, is it at all possible to wait until 7 am to start construction? At least it's a reasonable hour. Thank you, Rachel Matthews

It is almost impossible to find a Section 8 home in this town. I hear its because there is so much money to be made off housing here. I want to know where I can find a decent home for my child and I to live. I've been looking for a decent home for almost 2 years now. I'm a great tenant, pay my rent on time, keep a clean home, and stay quiet. Despite these things, I can't find a home because we are low income. Where do I find a place to live in this town?!

Nothing urgent, but I walk past the lawn at City Hall each day and see ways that it could be "greener". - The crews mow at a very low height. If grass is mowed higher the blades shade the soil, keeping the roots cooler and more healthy. It also keeps sunlight from hitting the soil, which prevents weed seeds from germinating, which reduces the need for pesticides. - The crews remove the clippings. Using a mulching mower returns the clippings to the lawn system, reducing the need for fertilizer. It's also less work to not have to empty the mower bag. - The grass was mowed yesterday. Today (Friday 5/18) much of the lawn has a silvery color to it. If you look at the grass blades in these areas you'll see that the tips are shredded instead of being cleanly cut. This means that the mower blade is so dull that it's ripping rather than cutting. The shredded grass blades are more susceptible to disease than cleanly cut ones. I am here to report AGAIN a safety issue on E Hillside Dr, between S Henderson St and S Park Ave. There is a tree branch that has been laid on top of the street for almost ONE YEAR! Please remove the falling branch before it actually falls on the street and damages cars and pedestrians.

I live near the fire station. Today(06/27) about 6:30pm I opened the door, went out and found some fire fighters chatting on the fire station's balcony. I'm sure they noticed me, too. I passed the station and there is no other people walking at that way at the same time. I heard a hugh shouting to me in a sudden. I think it was the gang on the balcony trying to scare me and make fun of me. Just because I'm an Asian girl.
