Hi Parks and Rec, Bloomington is such a great city. During the warmer months, there is always something to do. But for a community with so much family activity, there is surprisingly little to do in the winter. I was not sure to whom I should send this e-mail; but this was the address listed on Bloomington's Parks and Recreation website. The local park in my neighborhood, Park Ridge Park, is in need of some new equipment. I know it is hard to get funding and that our park is small but it is right near the apartments and there are a great number of kids and young adults who frequent the park. Our neighborhood would be proud to call Park Ridge Park our "home" park but not in the state that it is in. The main problem is with the basketball goals. They are badly rusted (the poles as well as the backboards) and one goal has a net that is cut up and dangling halfway off. Basically, this section of the park is an eyesore. It has seen a lot of use over the years but if we could get funding to have these replaced that would be super! Thank you.

There is a growing pot hole in the middle of the road about 3/4 of the way down the dead end street on Yancy Lane. I have had calls from 3 of my tenants within the last week about this problem. Can it be repaired? Thanks!

I live on the corner of 2nd and Walnut, which is primarily business surrounded by businesses. However, there are five residents living at this location. A new stop light has been added to the corner of 2nd and Walnut, which is great in controlling traffic. However, there is now a constant beeping that is extremele noticeable and quite loud when there is less traffic to drown the beeping out. This beeping can be heard throughout our entire house and is severely affecting our living conditions. While this seems trivial, it has affected my ability to focus on work and study and also my ability to sleep. My roommates and I need to get this beeping shut off. It is bearable during the day and beneficial for citizens in a high traffic area, but at night and early morning it has become disruptive to residents around the area. Please contact me on how I can bring attention to this problem and find a solution.

I have a rental property located @ 519 W Graham Plc (Timberridge condos) they have informed me that there is a water leak and the information came from your dept. I am wondering if I could get more information regarding this and if your worker turned off the water @ the meter to see the needle spinnng or if it was determined by the usage??? I called but your automated service said try back later. I was also wondering if I could get a copy of this tenants bills?? Please either call or email me. Thanks Diane Casad Landlord

PLEASE INSTALL A 4-WAY STOP SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF PETE ELLIS AND LONGVIEW. I live in Woodwind Terrace and hear cars screeching and near-accidents frequently. It is also a scary place to cross the street! And today there was a huge accident at that intersection. Please consider placing a 4-way stop sign for the safety of drivers AND pedestrians. Also, please fix the crosswalk light at the northwest corner of Pete Ellis and 3rd street. It is not working, so cars don't give pedestrians the right of way when turning right from Pete Ellis onto 3rd St. Thank you!

The bike rack at Sahara Mart on 2nd street is not ideally located. It is afixed to a street sign. The street sign blocks one of the parking spots. The rack faces the street and if you park your bike on the side of the rack that you are supposed to, it hangs in the street. The other option is park your bike on the "wrong" side of the rack and have it hanging in the sidewalk in the way of pedestrians. Plus, the bike isn't well supported on that side, so the chances of it falling over are great.

The left turn arrow from eastbound Hillside to northbound Henderson comes on every time I pass through this intersection (right in front of Feast). It's on my daily commute and I've noticed it for quite a while now. Anything you can do to fix this would be appreciated. (sorry if this is a duplicate message - my tablet wasn't working right)
