Bitch clean all the mf roads. Nowwww!
This morning, November 10, on my son’s way to school, he slid off the road and damaged his car. He was not going to fast, nor could he have done anything to prevent it as he hit a patch of ice on a curve. While a somewhat new driver comparatively, he has experience navigating slick conditions from growing up racing and riding 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, etc. The reason he slid off the road is because it was not salted, sanded or treated in any way. The road, Acuff, is a road traveled by many students to get to Bloomington North. As he sat and waited for his Father to help him, he witnessed numerous cars almost run into him, do 360’s, and hit curbs. Why this road wasn’t a priority being a route to the school is baffling. I hope roads that are connected to school parking lots will become a priority, especially as in this case when the weather was no surprise.
I submitted a complaint, case #206728 and Cheyenne Bowlen was assigned to it. I was told that the city does not do past 100 ft off of Kinser pike, and that it was the county’s responsibility and to reach out to them. I did. They said it is, in fact the city’s responsibility to do Acuff, and that they only have responsibility of Prow, just before it turns to Acuff. The county was confident and firm in their boundaries. So, either one of you is wrong, or there is an unfortunately placed gap in service, as it is a very sharp curve that happens to be the route many kids drive themselves to and from school. Please look into this with consideration to the kids.
A request for snow removal practices going forward. The location is where South Morton ends at the Convention Center overflow parking lot. Vehicle traffic is stopped by three yellow bollards, but many pedestrians and cyclists use this road to enter the B-line from Morton St. In past winters, snow plows push the snow into a large pile that entirely blocks off the end of S Morton St, so even pedestrians can't pass through. In the past, I have shoveled a pathway through, but it takes hours depending on the size of the pile and how frozen it is, and I have to redo it every time plows come through, and I go through at least 5 snow shovels per year since they break from the amount of snow I need to move. Now I have a back issue, so I can no longer shovel a path through. Can you please coordinate snow plowing so that the end of S Morton is not entirely blocked? Maybe a smaller plow (like they use on the B-line) could work with the larger plows to keep the path as open as possible. Thank you.
The city snow plow removed one of the metal drain hole covers on Shadow Wood Drive and W Boheny Drive. The cover is on the side of the road and the hole is open. Driving hazard.

Damage from recent storm. Treekeeper Site ID 38515, Kentucky Coffeetree. Unsure as to integrity, so wanted to check, especially as the cuts were made by a passerby during the storm (as the downed branch was blocking Kirkwood traffic). More photos available to send, too.

The large sweet gum tree in the right of way in front of our home has a very hefty branch that is growing directly toward our house and is very close to the front of the house and hangs down into my front garden. During large winds, the branch sways widely and is a danger to the sidewalk and our home. Can you trim the branch? Thank you!
A couple of trees fell in the woods that border my property in between 3897 S Claybridge anda the assisted living facility. The house is rented and I don’t know the owners. One of the trees is blocking the sidewalk. Yesterday, I witnessed a mom with a little kid on a trike going into the street to try to get around it with a vehicle having to swerve to not hit them. I am concerned because there are a lot of folks who use the sidewalk and a high level of traffic, which increases the odds of an accident.
