Police reports have been filed because car robberies have occurred numerous times on Jackson Street. We were hoping to get street lights put in order to maybe reduce the amount of theft in the neighborhood.

The pavement which used to be a through street years ago and is now a city-maintained alley needs to have its potholes filled. The parking lot behind Dr. Linda Figen's office at 413 Howe is owned by Dr. Figen and that lot is adjacent to the southern extent of the alley. It is the alley portion which is city-maintained which needs the attention. Area residents have confirmed with the city that this alley is city maintained when repairs are needed. Several potholes are deep and pose a hazard to vehicles using the alley to access Dr. Figen's business or the parking area for her neighbor to the east.

This is my second official noise complaint against Juannita's Mexican Restaurant, located at 620 W. Kirkwood Ave. Bloomington, IN 47404. The restaurant staff uses outdoor speakers to play music that can be heard outside property lines--I live across the street and can hear this music in my living room and bedroom, at times clearly enough for it to disrupt my sleep. I have complained directly to Juannita's management by phone, email, and in person on several occasions, to no lasting avail. Last May, I submitted a uReport regarding this issue and received a prompt and professional response from Jason Carnes, the Assistant Director of Small Business Relations. Mr. Carnes reached out to the Juannita's manager with a warning about the City’s noise ordinance, which seemed to be effective for a time. However, the music has recently become a problem again. I am a graduate student at IU, and dreading the prospect of facing another school year of being unable to concentrate or relax in my living space. Please let me know what further steps I can take to hold my neighbors accountable for this noise violation. Thank you, Kaitlin Mackenzie
At the Ferguson Dog Park there is a large puddle the size of a large bathtub located near the shade shelter. At the moment it is full of green water, after a week or so it becomes a mud wallow with mud the consistency of glue. This feature never dries out and remains a continuing dog magnet. Even with the hose it is not easy to clean them up after they roll in it. A pickup load of gravel or wood chips would be greatly appreciated by many dog owners. Thanks(it is a great park for the dogs!)
