Pothole in alley that runs in between our 427 S. Henderson Building and our 508 S. Fess Building. The alley runs North/South, between 2nd St. and Hunter St.. The pothole is next to our dumpster. Hello, My name is Andrew Goodale and I am the manager of the Verizon store on West Third Street in Bloomington. I am writing in regards to the road maintenance and related traffic issues that exist around our store. Maintenance on the Third Street overpass is severely affecting our business and store traffic to the negative. Because Third Street has been reduced to a single eastbound lane in front of our store, customers are not able to access our place of business. Our entrance is consistently blocked off with a line of traffic, and even during the rare times when it is clear, people do not think they can turn into our parking lot because of all the street pylons blocking off our entrance. Further, this same issue also causes traffic to back up on Liberty road which often simultaneously blocks off our rear entrance. This traffic double-whammy is killing our business and noticeably affecting the paychecks of your Bloomington residents that work here. Because there is a Bus Stop right in front of our store, this lane merging is also creating a safety hazard for bystanders and pedestrians in the area, including my employees. Just the other day we witnessed a City Bus hit one of your sawhorse barricades and it got caught underneath the bus. We watched the driver get out, unsuccessfully try to remove the sign, and continue driving with it caught under the bus, dragging it along as they drove on the sidewalk and hopped the curb turning from Third onto Liberty. I would like to be informed what will be done by Bloomington in order to stop stunting our business and creating a safety hazard outside of our store due to construction related traffic signs and patterns. I also need to know when this construction project will be complete, and what is being done to make sure that deadline is met or exceeded. 612 S Eastside Drive has a pothole in front of it. This was reported before (#163968). All the others potholes mentioned in the same case have been filled, except this one. Thanks.

Report is 6 years old. What's the current status? Griffy Lake has been culled. What about Residential Bloomington as there is no movement between Griffy Lake and Residential Bloomington? There is a growing population in Residential Bloomington.

Hello, My name is Lauren McDonald, and I live in one of the units on 1109 South Rogers in Bloomington. There is a water meter in my front yard and the cover was not properly/safely re-attached. This morning I was walking across the yard and stepped on the cover, and my entire leg fell into the water meter. My leg is scraped, swollen, and bruised because of it. I placed the cap back on the hole, but provided a photo below. I spoke to Frank (unsure if his last name) about this issue on the phone, and they are planning to have it resolved. However, I did want it recorded that I was injured because of it. This could have seriously injured a child. I live at the corner of W 3rd and Jackson Sts. There is a "traffic calming" device at the west end of the intersection. Another car just struct the curb with some damage today. Last Friday evening two cars struck the device. A week or so ago a Bloomington Police Car struct the curb and blew a tire. This is a common occurrence day and night, on a daily basis. Recently a crew repainted the curb yellow and glued on reflectors. The reflectors were soon scrubbed off by cars hitting the curbs. The curb needs a visible warning at eye-level that drivers can see. They obviously do not see the curb below their eye level. The new yellow paint curb has been hit so many times it is already black with tire rubber. Thanks.
can we please get speed bumps on west 7th street in front of the cemetery? Many elderly, children, and pets are within this area and i see people speeding up the hill regularly. Each month my neighbors and i have to clean up animals that have been hit and I have seen multiple times children and elderly nearly hit. Along with your every day joe going through, it is also sheriff and city police speeding on the street without lights and sirens. This is a hazard I hope you will fix. Sincerely, Ryan Baker
