Just wanted to thank you for a job well done. I am an avid walker and my route frequently takes me by the north end of Southeast Park. For quite some time, the sidewalk running along the north side of the tennis courts near Moores Pike has frequently been covered with water and mud, becoming a nuisance for walkers, joggers, dog owners, cyclists and even tennis players. Recently the city trimmed the trees back, regraded the slope and created a drainage channel. I am happy to report that even during this wet summer, the fix seems to be working and so far the sidewalk has remained clear and passable. Many thanks! btw, compliments to park staff as well for the fine job they do of keeping the doggie waste bags well-stocked, and the timely job they do of emptying trash receptacles. Dog owners and non-owners alike appreciate it.

The stop sign at Gourley Pike and North Monroe Street is completely covered by branches and leaves. Please respond ASAP, citizen is very adamant about this issue.

Public spaces, be they roundabouts, street corners, boulevard medians or just the grassy strips along sidewalks are regularly cluttered with signs for events and services. What are the rules about these things? I suppose there is a spectrum of acceptability, ranging from school performances to community theater to summer camps, but more and more often I am seeing them being used to advertise businesses. In the attached photo you will see that there are signs on the Moores Pike traffic circle for the C3 bar in Renwick. Earlier this year the south side of town, and I imagine elsewhere, was awash in signs for some transient snake oil salesman. I would like to know what the law allows and why there is no enforcement. I live off 18th and park road east..my back house faces the Crest play lot off. There is a dead tree that is pretty big that concerns us and our neighbors especially when there is severe storms like the other night and could possibly fall on power lines. Maybe I need the dept. of health. The house at 810 S. Parkway Dr. has a garage full of trash. Animal control has a case on this woman and the hse. has been checked according to my neighbor by APS but the GARAGE is full of pure trash. I saw a mouse or rat run across the driveway last week which her cat was chasing. I bought my home across from her in April and NOT ONCE has this woman put trash out EVER. This is a fire and health problem. Thank you. If I had the technology, I would send you a picture. Please help if you can. Thank You.

Belle Ave. in Highland Village has been touched up for years. I first complained for my elderly mother who owns her home on Middle Ct. I now own a home on S. Parkway Dr. It is tearing our cars up. Please REPAVE THIS BUSY STREET. I AM PAYING TAXES FOR THIS RIGHT OF PASSAGE. I reported this problem of the old run down streets in Highland Village yrs. ago and a city employee contacted me wanting an exact street as 'some are county and some are city' If the highly traveled street of Belle Ave. is not a city street I will contact the county. They all look tacky but Belle is the one which POUNDS AND BOUNCES AND RUINS MY CAR THE MOST EVEN AT TWO MPH. Thank you.

Abandoned vehicle: There is a red Ford Taurus that appears to be abandoned in the parking lot at 806 Auto Mall Rd. Vehicle has been in the same location since February. Tires are all flat and parts of the car are coming off. Indiana Plate 380LHY

I am writing to you on behalf of the Blue Ridge Neighborhood Association Board to reaffirm our sidewalk request made on March 11th of 2014 and appearing on page 85 of the 2015 Council Sidewalk Committee Packet. As you may know the neighborhood of Blue Ridge is bounded by College Ave on the West, Dunn Street on the East, and Old State Road 37 (and, in part, the Cascades trail) on the North. While Blue Ridge has many positive aspect, unfortunately walkability and biking accessibility to the rest of Bloomington is not one. Dunn Street is narrow, with low visibility hampered by hills, and College Avenue has high-speed traffic. Bloomington Mass Transit does not serve our neighborhood. These factors combine to make walking or biking into or out of Blue Ridge a challenge. It would be of great benefit to our neighborhood if some means could be found to connect our neighborhood via sidewalks to the rest of Bloomington and give our 220 households a means to safely access Bloomington other than by car. With that goal in mind, we request consideration of a sidewalk on North Dunn Street connecting SR 45/46 to Tamarack and ultimately Lakewood Drive. We thank you for considering this matter.
