I have noticed trees cut down in the tree plot on the N side 2nd across from Hopewell Commons (where I think there will be future Hopewell-related street work) and also next to the Building Trades Park. Changes to the Park are being planned, i think, but i am distressed to see so many old Kentucky coffee trees being filled. I hope both cases of systematic tree removal are for good and necessary reasons.

Hello , During the month of December 2024, there was utility work done on my property while I was away for the winter break. When I returned, there was 1.5 feet of snow; however, since it has melted, I have seen the damage that was done to my front yard - see the attached photos. There are two holes in my lawn (photo on right) and the crew stained my limestone walkway (photo on left). Can you please send the utility company to repair these damages as soon as possible? I went to retrieve my car at the 4th street parking garage last night after attending an event at the Waldron. When I got off the elevator on the 2nd floor I was approached by some disheveled guy who started cussing at me in an aggressive manner. I just turned away and went to my car. He kept cussing and got on the elevator.

In October, when fiber optic line was being laid in our neighborhood, the installers inadvertently ran it through our sewer line. A few days later, the breached line backed sewage into our house. We hired plumbers to snake and inspect the line and we were able to see the blockage was caused by the fiber optic line. The fiber optic installers created a patch around our sewer line, but we were stuck with a $700+ plumbing bill. We feel that the fiber optic line installers should reimburse us for the plumbing bill, but can’t connect with anyone. A guy named Mike Nally, who seemed to be a supervisor, took our info and pics of the problem and promised to pass them on, but we’ve never heard from anyone. Can you connect us to someone who can arrange for us to be reimbursed? I have tried to attach a photo of the bill as well as of the camera shots of the blocked sewer line.

Dragon Express at 3rd & Eagleson. Wonderful food. However, young male employee who takes orders at the desk runs his hands thru his hair, blows & wipes his nose, then scoops rice into carry out containers & attached lids to plastic containers without first washing his hands! He also bundles up the containers into paper bags for carry outs--adds fortune cookies--all w/out hand washing. The food is great, but if an employee on the front line is involved in handling a customer's carry out food while dealing w/ a runny nose, he needs needs to first was his hands. BTW: I worked in food service years ago.
