There has been a "road construction ahead" sign and this yard for probably 6 months or so and this is the yard of an older guy who likes to maintain his lawn and I think it bums him out to have this sing in his yard for so long with no actual road construction taking place. He keeps moving it to mow around it and then dragging it back and I feel bad for him.
There is a large amount of sand and gravel at the base of Olive St, where it meets Hillside (1200 E Hillside). It is a danger for cyclists.
We tried to help with all the extra gravel that the street sweeper couldn't reach a few weeks ago. There is still a lot of gravel to sweep up before the street is repaved. Please see if the street sweeper can please help clear this area. Thank you.
Extremely low water pressure suddenly starting on or after 1130am today.
Someone moved a dead raccoon from the roadway to our yard, where it is currently decomposing. We are at 1300 E Hillside Drive, immediately east of the Hillside Church of Christ. The dead raccoon is currently under an ornamental tree in our front yard, on the west side of the lot, which is the side nearest the church's driveway. Can you please advise how we go about having this dead animal removed? Many thanks for any help. Darrin Dolehanty
Hello- There were street crew south of here earlier this morning and when I got home this evening there's a cable down from a pole and it is across my driveway and in my yard. It looks like a communication line, but I'd rather not mess with it. thanks
The north-west Conner of the metal plate sticks up enough that I could cause a bike rider a problem if they didn’t spot it…say at night.
Ticket #205013 was closed by Barry stating "it is way outside the city limits" which is incorrect. This property is indeed in Bloomington: 1645 S Olive St Bloomington, IN 47401. The issue: overgrown yard and vegetation piles are a hazard and promoting mosquito and tick habitat.
Thank you for sending someone out to clean up the debris, however, they only skirted a little edge of the street. Last year, the City constructed the new signage for the bike/ped crossing, and widened Olive St at the corner in order to navigate two way traffic. Therefore, this little slice in the picture that is still covered in gravel is part of Olive St. This needs to be swept up too. It is a muddy mess and it's starting to grow weeds in the gravel. Bikes can't approach the intersection and use this area safely and cars can't clearly see that this part of the street. It's also still affecting stormwater drainage in the case of the storms over this past weekend.
